Message from the
Chancellor Mohammad Sarwar

Higher Education is considered one of the most important and robust tools for social and economic development of any country. Higher
education provides the cutting edge and contributes to the growth of a nation by providing specialized knowledge and skilled manpower.
Out of over 200 Higher Education Intuitions (HEIs) in Pakistan, Punjab has around 70. We place a very high emphasis on higher education in
the country and especially in the province. Wah being an education city enjoys almost 100% literacy rate. University of Wah has been pitching
in this number since its inception.
University of Wah is bringing about an ethical and moral paradigm shift in educational methodology in order to produce leaders for social
change. The University is committed to offer state of the art academic programs as well as create conducive environment leading to research
and development in both students and faculty. University of Wah is striving hard to provide maximum facilities and academic ambience for
quality education and is endeavouring to meet the future challenges of the society for quality and affordable education. The University is in the
business of transforming students potential where critical thinking is increased; knowledge is expanded; multi-cultural awareness and
competency are developed; inter and intrapersonal competence is gained; and practical life skills are acquired.
Today there is widespread knowledge everywhere with newer technologies, skills and avenues emerging. The horizon of professional
activities are expanding and hence today there is much more scope for the younger generation to uncap their talents and touch greater heights
of achievement. My prayers and well wishes are with budding geniuses who are asset of the nation. I wish them success in every facet of life.
