    Title of Project : Project WINS (“Ways to Implement New Techniques in


    Science”

    A. RATIONALE
    “New Normal” is often heard nowadays as a result of the pandemic that is going on
    now. There is a lot of “new normal” that took place in every daily routine, on jobs, on every
    government processes and in education. Moreover, “new normal” breaks the norms that
    people have lived by. In the daily human routine, “new normal” means to wear face mask
    every time people go out.
    For years, Philippine Education System has been traditional but gradually changing to
    cater the demands of the new generation. As a matter of fact, before this “new normal” came
    to light, teachers and learner are already using the internet, computer and other technologies
    in education. But the difference lies between having a face to face class and now in “new
    normal” classes are done in different learning modalities. Department of Education
    introduced 3 modalities of how learnings shall be delivered in “new normal”. These are
    Distance Learning, Blended Learning, and Homeschooling respectively.
    B. OBJECTIVE
    To produce online learning materials such as video learning tutorials, video clips, and
    other learning materials in an online platform.

    C. CONTENT
    The project consists of preliminary activities, which includes orientation of teachers.
    They will be instructed to produce online learning materials such as video lessons that will be
    used as supplementary learning materials in the online platform.

    D. METHODOLOGY
    This project aims every teacher teaching science to produce video lessons that they
    can use as a supplementary online learning materials. Every quarter, they are be expected to
    create videos based on their lessons which can help them to deliver their lessons effectively
    through online.

    After the SLAC/orientation about the project, the teachers are expected to show
    interest in joining the project. The crafted videos should be used as s supplementary materials
    to enhance learning and understanding of the lessons among the learners.

    F. TRAINING PACKAGE (PARTICIPANTS AND LEARNING FACILITATORS)


    The science teachers of Pila Elementary School, regardless of position, years in
    service and grade level assignment, are all entitled to join the project.

    G. TRAINERS/LEARNING FACILITATORS
    To ensure that all queries will be answered, the School Head is invited to act as
    resource persons. To provide pertinent information for the program and that all concerned
    will be properly guided, Deped Memorandum referring to the project will be consulted and
    attached to the school memorandum.

    H. PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
    The project team will meet before the orientation to prepare the necessary forms and
    documents for the SLAC/orientation of teachers. Another conference will be held to design
    the guidelines. A school memorandum will be circulated to inform all teachers to prepare the
    needed documents.
