TRAINING NEEDS ANALYSIS

SCHOOL LEARNING ACTION CELL ON LITERACY INSTRUCTION

Mayon Elementary School’s reading assessment shows that there are struggling
readers. This shows that learners need to be capacitated with skills and competencies that are
literacy based which would enhance their performance not only in reading. This would be
realized if the teachers are well equipped and knowledgeable of the instructional of the
competencies required in every content area in literacy instruction and committed in
intensifying literacy practices.

The conduct of a training is one of the most possible ways to realize the needs of the
school. This is why the school plans to organize the conduct of School Learning Action Cell on
Literacy Instruction on October 6, 2021 to October 27, 2021. The training would hardly
improve and capacitate teachers on literacy instruction so that they would be able to employ
appropriate strategies and deliver accurate reading instruction to their learners.

Teachers need the kind of learning delivery that would improve their abilities through a
training in order to give to the learners the literacy instruction that they must acquire and
inhibit in order to develop their performances.
