1. With a portfolio as diverse as Google’s, what are the company’s core brand values?

Core brand values are the beliefs that the company stand for. With the portfolio as diverse as
Google, the following are their core brand values:

Good Work Environment


Google has strived to be one of the “good guys” in the corporate world,
supporting a touchy-feely work environment.
Doing the right things
Within its corporate culture, Google always encourages well-built ethics with an
eminent founding credo: “Don’t be evil”. Honesty and integrity in all they do and their
business practices are beyond criticism. They have a motto of making money by doing
good things.
Offering Prime Online Services
Google adds value by providing tools so businesses can better target their ads and
understand the effectiveness of their marketing.
Marketing asset management
With its ability to deploy data that enable up-to-the-minute improvements in a
Web marketing program, Google supports a style of marketing in which the advertising
resources and budget can be constantly monitored and optimized.
Technology and Innovation
Google always apply their technology and creativity to solve important problems
and come up with new ideas.
2. What pushed Google to go for the mobile market?

As the world becomes more mobile. Google is betting big in the mobile category. In 2008,
Google launched Android, a mobile operating system that went head-to-head with Apple’s
iPhone. The investment paid off, and by 2010, Android became the number-one mobile
operating system in the market.
3. What’s next for Google? Is the company right to put so much focus on Mobile?

Google is not only a search engine anymore. It has gained popularity from many facilities
this company has provided. After becoming such a strong brand, they launched their mobiles
that are found to be competitive for other companies. It became head-to-head with iPhone. It
is maintaining its position in market by providing competition to its competitors.

4. Who are Google’s competitors in the mobile market? Do they stand out among their
competitors? If yes, how? If not, what can their competitors do for improvement?

The search engines that are mostly used and most often mentioned besides Google are
Yahoo, Bing, and Baidu (Since Google can’t be used in China, Baidu is ranked as the second
most used search engine). They all have their benefits that work in favor of marketers or
websites owners who want to explore other options and improve their website traffic. Yes,
Google absolutely stand out among their competitors. The volume of consumers that Google
has explains why marketers and website owners use this search engine. The vast amount of
information, search result accuracy, and speed are why people love Google.
