PARTNER
SPOTLIGHT
ABOUT THE SPECIAL EDITION MAGAZINE

Organic Alberta is excited to announce our second Special Edition magazine!

This winter, in addition to our usual Winter Magazine, we are also publishing a
Partner Spotlight Special Edition magazine. This special edition showcases the
partners that are essential to supporting the organic sector and community.

COVID has changed the way we connect and share information with farmers.
In the absence of field days, workshops, and in-person conferences, we want
to provide new ways for you to connect with our members. By dedicating a
special edition of the Organic Alberta magazine, which is physically mailed out
to all 725 of our organic certified members, we are creating another avenue for
connection and getting the information directly into the hands of farmers.

Special edition also means a special opportunity for you to connect with
organic growers and for them to learn more about your products and services.
We'll conduct an interview to get all the nitty-gritty details on your company
to create a one-page profile, and include a banner ad of your design!

Deadline January 14th. Please contact our Communications Coordinator,

Cari Hartt at cari.hartt@organicalberta.org for further details or questions.

ONLINE
WORKSHOPS
REIMAGINING COLLABORATIONS IN 2022

Organic Alberta is once again collaborating with SaskOrganics and the Manitoba Organic
Alliance, and welcoming the Organic Council of Ontario as a new partner, on our latest project
called the Canadian Organic Ingredients Initiative. Building on the success of the Prairie
Organic Grain Initiative (POGI), the goal of this new project is to facilitate the sharing and
expansion of skills, knowledge, and best practices to further build capacity in the organic
sector. With an expanded focus to include livestock and vegetable production, as well as grain,
the cross-provincial project will deliver multiple activities over the next two years.

Here at Organic Alberta, we’re planning an online workshop series, and reimagining
collaborations in 2022. The COVID-19 pandemic has proven to be a challenge for our industry in
the absence of workshops, field days, and in-person conferences. We know that you want every
opportunity possible to meet and connect with farmers, so here is your chance!

We're offering our sponsors an exclusive opportunity to co-create a tailored webinar from a list
of themes that best fits with your company’s opportunities, products, or services for growers.
You will be the one and only sponsor for your workshop, and will have the chance to connect
directly with growers in small group and one-on-one discussions following your personalized
online workshop. Bring your own expert to present, or we’ll track one down for you!

With numerous touchpoints before, during, and after your company-tailored online workshop,
and a huge network of organic producers in the province, this is your opportunity to connect in
a new and innovative way.

Deadline December 15th. Please contact our Program Manager, Tierra Stokes at
tierra.stokes@organicalberta.org for further details or questions.
