C. Abstraction
Discussion on future tense by the teacher.
In English grammar, the simple future is a form of the verb that refers to an action
or event that has not yet begun.
Simple future tense is formed by putting will or shall before the first form of the
verb (will + basic form of the main verb). Note that shall is becoming much less common
in both speech and writing.
Examples:
1. I will see the doctor tomorrow.
2. The company will launch another green project next year.
3. After 2 years, the cost of the land will double.
4. DFA will release my passport before next month.
5. The first Aeta to graduate in UP will tell his story to us when he comes.
D. Application
D.1. The teacher asks students about their goals and aspirations. Students construct
sentence examples using will/shall to convey future tense of the verb.
a. I will __________________________.
b. I will __________________________.
c. I shall __________________________.
