ACTIVITY SHEET #9
Activity:
Cut out picture or illustrations from magazines and newspapers that show what being a
Filipino is about. Paste them below.
Answer the following question below in relation to what you have posted in the previous
activity.
The picture above reminds me of the Filipino good values and culture, like how
other countries identify us. We are the kind people who have strong family ties, being
versatile, adaptive, and creative, and our ability to survive to whatever comes to us
4
because we are industrious people and because of our mindset of being resourceful in any
way.
Being a Filipino is one of those things that we should be proud of, and as a
Filipino, I am proud to be, despite the fact that there are negative thoughts about us,
especially the way our country is being portrayed now because of other irresponsible
Filipinos, that doesn't matter to me because there are still a lot of Filipinos I am seeing
that are always ready to help each other in difficult times and it is very inspiring and
enough to feel proud to be a Filipino.
3. Discuss how being a Filipino affects your “self”. How can becoming a better Filipino
influence your duty to becoming g a better version of yourself?
Being a Filipino affects me in many ways. The great values and culture it thought
me from the very first day that I was born gives me the reason to become the better
version of myself. I do respect my culture and nationality because I’m proud to say that
I’m a Filipino. It thought me to be kind and responsible and think of others in whatever I
am going to do and say. I think Filipino values that affect us to be a better person, are a
never-ending responsibility and the most significant part of that responsibility is, being
compassionate to yourself and others at all times.

For me, I can say that I am a responsible citizen because I know what are my
rights and I also know what are the limitations of my rights. I follow laws, abide by
regulations, and I don’t try to find avoidances or gray areas to test or bend them,
especially for self-gain. When never I used any of my social media accounts I know my
limits and the things that need to be and do not need to be shared and post. I always
exercise the idea of the thought, think before you click, and post. So, in order for us to be
responsible citizens, be mindful in general and of others, down to even common
courtesies and manners.
