I. INTRODUCTION:

The event is being held in order for us to gain a better understanding of the flight attendant's responsibilities. It will assist us and give
us encouragement and commitment to the industry in which we will be participating. I believe that this industry is critical to a
country's economic strength. The event provided us with an opportunity to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of working in
the tourism industry. It also emphasizes the various responsibilities of a flight attendant, as they are not only a waitress in the air,
but also a person who will assist us in emergencies or with anything else we may require during our cruise. This activity is critical for
us to improve our knowledge of being a flight attendant because it gives us a bird's eye view of the experiences and knowledge we
will encounter in the future. Regardless of what occurs, it is a sign that all future tourism professionals have a bright future ahead of
them. We all know that the cabin crew is the front line of defense inside the aircraft, ensuring the safety of all passengers. Flight
attendants must take everything very seriously regarding security because they are responsible for the passengers' and fellow crew
members' well-being. Although training varies by airline, flight attendants are typically well-versed in safety and security procedures
to guarantee the best potential response in the event of an emergency. The primary goal of safety and emergency procedures
training is to ensure that crew is prepared to handle any accident or unusual situation that may arise on board. During training, they
learn how to prevent incidents and anticipate potential threats. For me, they are your guardian angel while traveling or cruising in
the sky, and they are well-versed in emergency safety procedures, so this event would be extremely beneficial in terms of learning
about the important details, tasks, and responsibilities of being a cabin crew.

II. DETAILED NARRATIVE REPORT:

The theme is: Getting ready for the tourism start-up with airline industry partners and alumni. On Wednesday, it aired live on Ms
Teams from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The resource speaker is Miss Maria Camille Famisaran, a CITHM Alumni, Flight Attendant at
Philippine Airlines, and owner of MangCo. We have started the webinar by the netiquette for the today’s webinar: To make sure that
the microphones are turn off, for the questions or clarifications, kindly use chat box. These will be entertained after the talk and
listen attentively to the speaker. It was followed by the Invocation; the song is I See you Lord by Aiza Seguerra. The meaning of this
song is that if you just believe in him and have faith in him, he will always believe in you. You can see him in everything that encircles
you. After that is the Prayer of Oratio Imperata and the singing of the Philippine Anthem. Then Miss Lourdes A. Mendoza addressed
the gathering, thanking all participants and the supporting speaker. MS. Micah Fernandez later introduced the speaker by listing all
of the speaker's accomplishments and recognition. Following that is the speaker's portion of the speech, Miss Maria Camille
Famisaran, who greets us with a warm and pleasant smile. She begins by discussing the webinar's objectives, which are for us to:
acquire knowledge about the responsibilities of a flight attendant, the essential skills required, the benefits and drawbacks of being a
flight attendant, and finally, how flight attendants are coping with the new normal created by the ongoing pandemic. Miss Camille
gives us a glimpse of the Initial Cabin Crew training, which inspires me to pursue a career as a flight attendant. It may be difficult
because they must study diligently and achieve a passing score of 90 percent, which means they must make only one mistake on the
exams. They worked extremely hard to ensure our safety in all areas of our travel. I know this because Miss Camille is a relative of
mine; she used to stay up all night studying for exams and reciting emergency procedures in front of us. I have witnessed all of her
efforts and dedications in order for her to succeed and reach her current position. She will always be an inspiration to me, not only
professionally, but also as a strong independent woman. The next stop discusses the flight attendant's two primary responsibilities in
the cabin, which are to ensure the safety of all passengers and crew members and to provide exceptional service. In terms of safety,
flight attendants act as the captain's eyes throughout the cabin, ensuring the passengers' and crew's safety and security prior to and
after the flight, and assisting passengers in the event of an emergency, as they are well trained in areas such as combat skills in the
event of a terrorist attack or emergency landing. They provide comfort and customer service to passengers by creating a welcoming
environment. They must always appear pleasant and approachable during flight hours, as flight attendants are responsible for
making passengers feel at ease. Following that is a video discussing the ten facts about being a flight attendant. Number 1, they're
not waiters the term waitresses of the skies often get bandied about but flight attendants are so much more than that rather than
waiters they are more like police officers enforcing the right to remove you from the flight if they consider you to be problematical.
Number 2, they are also trained in hand-to-hand combats the cabin crew are responsible for the safety of the lives of sometimes up
to 525 people being hurled through the air at 500 miles per hour being able to contain an unruly passenger in those circumstances is
essential. Number three they are trained to deliver babies on board apart from other basic first-aid procedures flight attendants are
also trained to deliver babies in an emergency situation this training can be vital for a pregnant woman who finds herself suspended
in the air at 35,000 feet two hours away from the nearest airport. Number four they have survival training their training isn't just for
routine flights in the event of an emergency and having guided the passengers through an improvised crash landing your friendly
flight attendant also has basic survival skills to ensure a prompt rescue and well-being of the remaining passengers throughout
extreme conditions, remember this the next time they kindly ask you to turn off your phone. Number five they are trained
firefighters maybe this would have gone down differently if Heinrich cubist had been trained since the 60s when smoking on planes

was completely fine flight attendants had to be trained in fire safety nowadays despite the smoking ban the cabin crew are still
trained how to extinguish a fire in case of an emergency. Number six they are rigorously selected back in the 40s air stewardesses
were required to be high school graduates, single, 20 years of age, five foot two but no more than five nine, weigh a 105-235 pounds
and have at least 2040 vision without glasses today many of these requirements still exist including strict rules of hair length and
color and even makeup and fingernail styles only those who meet requirements are selected to be flight attendants. Number seven
it's often their first time it's not just passengers that change on each flight there are 100,000 flight attendants working in the US
alone each aboard a different flight flying to a different destination it's not always possible for them to return with the same crew
that they came with and are constantly rotating and working with new people so it's likely that you're not the only stranger in the
cabin. Number eight they're not immune to jet lag imagine a 17-hour flight from Dallas to Sydney, it can leave you pretty jet-lagged
and disorientated right well imagine that everyday flight attendants must soldier on through this and keep it together despite the
dim lights and sleeping passengers luckily, they have their own bunks, and some attendants even use their days off to shake off the
jetlag. Number 9, they don't just work on the plane, the job of ticket agent is often rotated among the attendants of the departing
flight so when you irately demand an explanation for the delay, you're likely to be talking to one of the hostesses aboard your flight
who may or may not bring you an extra pillow. Number 10, be nice flight attendants have admitted that when in the air they almost
have complete control over who gets seat upgrades and complimentary perks many attendants reserved better seats meal
preferences double drinks and a selection of limited stopped complimentary items for passengers who treat them like fellow human
beings. Additionally, we learned the essential skills required of a Flight Attendant: patience and being calm, attentiveness/vigilance
for the safety of passengers, decision-making skills, communication skills, customer service skills, teamwork/team player, and
friendliness/empathy. We've also discovered the benefits of being a flight attendant: you get to see the world and become
immersed in a variety of cultures. Flights and travel opportunities at no cost, you’ll have a flexible schedule, gain new experiences by
meeting new people, and benefit from cabin crew discounts. While the disadvantages of being a flight attendant include being away
from home, missing important events, having a messed-up body clock, and multiple life-threatening situations. Additionally, she
stated that in the new normal setting, the company requires us to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure our safety
while performing tasks and responsibilities inflight. Crew placement for medium- and long-haul flights. Fewer flights due to the
government-mandated cap on arrivals. Service Changes. Efforts made to ensure passenger safety and re-establish the public's
confidence in flying. Following that, Miss Camille demonstrated the proper way to conduct a safety demonstration inflight on how to
properly wear and stow it. With all of that, we've arrived at the open forum section, where there is a plethora of questions that have
been entertained and answered based on the company for which she works, Philippine Airlines, because each company is
distinctive. Then we presented her with a Certificate of Appreciation and expressed our gratitude for her time and efforts to the
whole event. We were able to take a photo with Ms. Camille at the conclusion of the program.

III. CONCLUSION:

Personally, I believe that this event served its purpose; it educates us about what it's like to work as a flight attendant. So far though,
this is the best webinar we've attended; we truly felt like tourism students after gaining knowledge and refueling our passion and
drive as tourism students. I wanted to be a part of it in the future because I acknowledged that this is an opportunity to travel while
also providing the best care and service to others. It is extremely beneficial for us because it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us
to learn and equip knowledge despite the pandemic, for example, the preflight safety demonstration that was illustrated to us in an
actual process. This activity contributes to my personal and professional growth by enabling me to continue pursuing our dreams of
being a part of the tourism industry. It reassures us that even during a health crisis, we can still accomplish our goals. There may be
delayed for a while, but if God permits, you will accomplish your goals and ambitions if you continue to always do your best. This
event is a great achievement for me because it provides an opportunity for all students to gain strength and pursue their dream
jobs, particularly as flight attendants. The data I gathered during this event is all beneficial and will enable me to be more favorable
in the future.

IV. RECOMMENDATION:

For me, the event went without a hitch, and there were no flaws at all. People behind the program are extremely committed to
achieving the best possible outcome, and the event is remarkably meaningful and beneficial thanks to our featured speaker. I hope
that the next time we can actually see it and practice it in a real-life setting. I also wanted to see more of this type of event in the
future because it is essential for anyone that would be working in the tourism industry to be familiar with the technicalities, skills,
and responsibilities that come with being a flight attendant.

V. PHOTO DOCUMENTATION:

As you can see in this photo, which was taken during the introduction of the event, we are all ready and excited to learn about the
topics that Ate Cams will be discussing about her life as a member of the cabin crew. They have good background music playing
while we are waiting for the event to begin.

The moment captured in this photograph was when Miss Camille was speaking about the duties and responsibilities of a flight
attendant, specifically what they must do and perform for the dearest passengers during flight hours. Her hard work and dedication
as a member of the cabin crew have been witnessed by us her family members, and despite the fact that she is exhausted and
drained, she will be jolly and enthusiastic when she shares her thoughts with us about their time on board. I have a tremendous
amount of respect and admiration for her because she has been through lot and has managed to overcome all of the difficulties she
has faced, and she has done so successfully.

We were learning how to properly perform an inflight safety procedure, which Miss Camille also taught me on my grade 12 practical
test, and I gained a significant amount from the experience because we may need this guideline in our future endeavors.

Ate Cams has demonstrated to us in this photo how to properly stow the safety items in her own organized manner. This will be
some helpful tips for getting to emergency supplies in an orderly and fastest way possible.
