PROJECT PROPOSAL

Title: "Lihok kabatan-onan Para sa Kabataan; Enriching Lives, Feeding the Future"

I. Executive Summary

This project will ensure the local participation of some members of Don Carlos
Polytechnic College (DCPC), the school organization who is fully supporting the personnel of
this project. The selected Barangay personnel will help the DCPC students (BEED 1B) to assist
in all the activities during the Outreach Program.

This project is very much relevant to local development plans because it addresses the
concerns of disadvantaged in the society especially in education and poverty cases. It also
concerns in uplifting the quality of life of the children not only in physical and mental but in all
aspects of an individual.

The agenda is to entertain and nurture child learning in the countryside. It targets the
young minds to have encouragement to dwell in life despite of negativities (discussion/lecture
activity, mind games, porridge feeding) and enhanced their knowledge to motivate their spirits to
pursue their dreams towards success.

II. Project Background

Education is a foundation of life. It is fundamental weapon in diminishing poverty in our


society. Poverty has been a rampant issue in the Philippines preventing families from supporting
children for their education particularly to the marginalized people. Children must have given
motivation and the right to education as they are the hope of the nation and the future of the next
generation.
We, the aspiring youths of DCPC are taking the steps towards spreading and promoting
the significance and value of education to the people. We would like to prove that poverty is not
a hindrance to achieve one's dream and success. Thus, education is the right path to take.

II. Goals and Objective

Mainstreaming the lives of the children is change therefore timely. To ensure permanent
change, the following are the objectives of the project:

a) To provide a life-changing lectures/discussions about life in order to encourage them


to strive hard in every steps of their life despites the circumstances.

b) To provide a temporary care for children who are in need of character development
and values formation training (Moral storytelling and team building games).

c) To provide a supplementary foods and give importance of a healthy diet and living
healthy foods, exercise, activities.

IV. Project Implementation

A. Strategies

In order to attain the goals and objectives indicated above, the following strategies are
identified to make the goals a reality:

1. Solicitation- Students will give a solicitation letter to different agencies in order to


have and provide enough budget for the project.

2. Donations- Students will ask help to the local community by to support the said
project by providing/donating any materials that can help to the child learning development
(books, pen, pad, paper, pencil, or any school materials/ supply).

Greetings of good will!

The Department of Education aims to produce competitive students and promotes quality
education through experiential learning which allows them to be involved in the community.
This learning experience will be enhanced through involvement with other people and reflection
of those experiences.

With this, we ask permission to allow us to conduct a Work Immersion entitled "Lihok kabatan-
onan Para sa Kabataan; Enriching Lives, Feeding The Future" at P-6 New Visayas, Don Carlos,
Bukidnon. This activity is a partial fulfillment of the requirements in our Subject NSTP 2
(Literacy Training Service 2) that will start on the second week of March 2020, this activity will
serve us a learning management and involvement in our community.
