TECHNICAL PAMPHLET

RECKLI PUR-
RECKLI® PUR-Elastomer A60 Elastomer A60

Product 03702
Edition 10/17
castable polyurethane elastomer, standard grade

PROPERTIES

RECKLI PUR-Elastomer A60 is a solvent-free, rubbery-elastic, liquid, two-

component polyurethane, cold-curing, almost shrinkage-free, after curing
sliceable and grindable. It shows high chemical resistance against aqueous alkali,
especially concrete.

APPLICATIONS

RECKLI PUR-Elastomer A60 is used for manufacturing flexible models, fittings,

formliners and moulds ensuring exact reproduction of surface contours and
textures. Easy stripping of castings is enabled by using suitable release agents.
RECKLI PUR-Elastomer A60 is particularly suitable for making durable formliners
for the manufacture of structured exposed concrete.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The model surface must be dry and clean. Absorbing surfaces should be sealed to RECKLI PUR-
facilitate the subsequent demoulding and to avoid inaccurate curing. For this, Elastomer A60

RECKLI PUR-Sealant can be used if the surface is solvent-resistant. Otherwise, Product 03702
Edition 10/17
especially if the surface has to be recovered in the original state, RECKLI Si-
Stripping Lacquer can be applied and removed with water along with all residues
after completing the moulding works. Afterwards, 2 – 3 layers of RECKLI Mould Wax
are applied. Each layer has to dry completely.

When applying several layers of elastomer, the preceding layer should be still
slightly sticky but sufficiently cured to bear the load of the following application. If
the surface is completely cured, it must be roughened by grinding before further
material can be applied.

PROCESSING

Each contact with moisture must strictly be avoided. Before processing, the base
component has to be stirred up thoroughly. Add the hardener (B) to the base
component (A) and mix them homogenously. Transfer the mixture into a second
receptacle and stir it up again. Thereby the incorporation of larger amounts of air
should be avoided. Once mixed the processing of the material must be completed
within the pot life (15 minutes). The shortest demoulding time is 24 hours.

METHOD OF PROCESSING

Full cast or front cast.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

For the cleaning of the tools and the equipment, use dry, absorbing cloths, if
necessary RECKLI Epoxy Cleanser in addition. Immersion in solvents is not
sufficient.

SPECIAL REMARKS

To ensure dimensional accuracy and maximum life period, moulds made of RECKLI
PUR-Elastomer A60 are preferably stored in their supporting mould under
admittance of air. Prolonged compression may lead to irreversible deformation.
The moulds must be protected against UV irradiation and direct insolation.
