A. SCOPE OF WORK:
Precast concrete manholes & lifting.

B. SAFETY:
1. Obtain proper work permit for the job and implement all the requirements.
2. Safety officer/supervisor shall frequently monitor the lifting operations.
3. Aramco certified crane operator shall operate the crane.
4. Aramco certified rigger shall assign as a signalman.
5. Competent supervisor should assign full time for monitoring the job.
6. Check ground conditions prior to jack the outriggers of crane and necessary to
provide outriggers pad.
7. Maintain the pre-checklist prior to operation.
8. Use the tag line for the controlling to movement of precast concrete manholes.
9. Rigging belts, slings, D-shackles and all below the hook attachments shall be
certified for safe use.
10. Precast concrete manholes will be transported on the trailers bed.
11. During the erection will be protected to unauthorized entries.
12. All employees will be used proper PPE for their work.
C. PROCEDURE:
1. Formwork & rebar for the manholes will be fixed in the precast yard.
2. Inspection for the formwork / rebars will be made.
3. Lifting hooks will be provided at two opposite sides of manhole wall to make
balance lifting, detail shown in attached sketch.
4. 16 bars will be used for lifting hooks.
5. Spacer beam (C-Channel 100x100x6) shall be used at the top of concrete well
to maintain vertical lift and to avoid any tension forces on the walls. (see
sketch-1)
6. Blinding in place will be made to the required level in all four corners.
7. Concrete pouring for the manholes base & walls will be made after inspection.
8. After 7-days water curing, manholes will be shifted to the pre-marked location.
