In today's highly competitive electricity market, losing any

moment of time or disconnecting will cause a great deal of material
damage to companies. Power outages are usually one of the causes of
this interruption, which is caused by various reasons such as reduced
supply by the supplier during busy hours, harsh weather conditions or
damage to local and national facilities. Limited fossil fuels and the
growing need for renewable energy on the one hand, and having a
reliable emergency power system on the other, further demonstrate the
need for systems that can simultaneously meet these two goals.
Therefore, combining solar energy and uninterrupted power systems
(UPS) is the improving the quality of the network using electronic power
converters.

INTRODUCTION
Solar based UPS system is an electronic and electrical component
combined machine that can generate both alternate current (AC) and
direct current (DC) without using any mechanical interfaces. This
system capable to generate direct current using solar plates and regulates
that direct current using charge controller to charge the backup battery,
instantly then inverts that regulated DC current in form of alternative
current (AC) format for run the AC home loads.  During power outages
the solar based UPS system delivers uninterrupted power to run
emergency home appliance without interruption.

As per survey of International Journal of Innovative Research,

India still faces unprecedented energy crisis in rural and suburban area.
An average power outage is 3-4 hours every day. Those people without
generators and UPS, They are facing tremendous problems in these
outages.

Central Government as well as State Government promoting many

schemes, like Rooftop PV and Small Scale Generation Programme
(RPSSGP) for encourages the development of rooftop and ground-
mounted solar systems. But now days India needs optimum design of
solar energy conversion systems with emergency backup of plans for
minimizing energy crises. The solar energy with UPS system is helpful
for this idea. And our “Solar Based UPS System” project is going to be a
part this one.

METHODOLOGY
Here we propose a “Solar Based Uninterrupted Power Supply”
project that uses solar energy to charge 12V, 4.7 Ah battery and then the
battery is used to power an AC load using inverter. Our solar panel is
used to constantly charge the 12V DC battery using charge controller
circuit. And once we turn on the load switch the battery charge is
inverted and stepped up from 12V DC to around 140 – 150 V AC. This
is now provided to the AC load. Thus our system successfully powers
AC load using a solar panel and battery. The system can be used as a
Uninterrupted Power Supply in case of emergency power cuts or outage
and has the capacity to work as a standalone system without the need of
any external electricity supply.

the transformer produces a varying magnetic flux, which, in turn,

induces a varying electromotive force or "voltage" across a second
coil wound around the same core.
Specifications

I/P Supply- 12V AC

O/P voltage- 120-150 V AC

PROPOSED SOLUTIONS
Today the world environment is going to reaching unsafe mode. So
we need to increase the renewable energy resources usage. Solar cell
generates electricity from the sun. The sun is free and it can produce

endless of renewable light energy every day, so we can use that energy
endless amount of time without cost during all session for our essential
usage, because it will not make any damages in our global environment
and it will not going to be end quickly like a non-renewable energy
resources: That is in particularly the energy resources taken from the
bottom of the earth surface (oil, gas, biomass contents, fire induce
fuels).
Here the Solar Based UPS system is a perfect renewable backup
source for all range of homes and business centers. It can control all of
appliances and devices against excess of energy usage and wastage.

RESOURCES AND IMPLEMENTATIONS

Solar Based Uninterrupted Power Supply is interesting one thing.
The dual power solution providing emergency power unit is highly
reliable for in all kind of situation. That is only reason we call solar UPS
is the perfect solution for household equipment during outages of power
supply.

Uninterrupted power supply from the solar ups is perfectly

produced by through high efficient backup unit. UPS power in all kind
of situation is unavoidable for essential home holed appliances and
power electronic devices. So the important electrical and electronics
products always connected with ups system for to avoid interrupted
operation.
