CONCEPT NOTES:
A. When dividing two whole numbers, the quotient may be a decimal. Affix
zeros in the dividend to get the actual or desired number of decimal places
in the quotient.
B. To divide a decimal by a whole number, follow these steps:
Round off the dividend and the divisor to the nearest compatible whole
number before dividing.
Compatible numbers are numbers close to the dividend and divisor that
are easy to divide.
