A light summer top with thin straps.


Knitted from top to bottom with raglan increases.
This length shows short crop with wide fit but it
can be adjusted to whatever length you prefer.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
C A S T O N 6 stitches to make the straps and purl two, knit
Intermediate
two, purl two on right side and purl 6 on wrong side.
Continue until you have 15 cm of strap.
MATERIALS
Place markers between stitches 2 and 3, 4 and 5 (as shown on
3 mm x 100 cm circular knitting needles
graph on page 3).
200 g / 800 m Twirls Pastello Yarn (colour 08 -
Blueberry) - 4 ply / Size 2 / fingering weight Increase two stitches every row (right side and wrong side)
tapestry needle with your preferred method (the method I used was purl front
stitch markers and back or PFB).

K N I T one bra half then pick up 6 stitches where you casted
on and knit the back strap. Do this twice and you will have

O N C E you have completed both halves of the top as


shown above, you can join the top in the round as follows:
join bra half A, join back half A, join back half B, join bra
half B

A F T E R joining in the round remember that the stitch
direction will change and you will now have to knit one row
ribbing and one row stockinette (as you previously purled the
entire row in the wrong side).

C O N T I N U E to knit in the ribbing stitch pattern until


you have reached your desired length and decrease as needed.
I have continued to knit straight for 9 inches and then
decreased 1 stitch every 5 rows and then completed with 5
rows 1x1 ribbing.

C A S T O F F using your prefered method and block your


garment. Finish by sewing in all the loose threads.
