DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN GRADE VII
I.OBJECTIVES:
A. Content The learner demonstrates understanding the four types of sentences
standard according to function.
B. Performance The learner transfers learning by identifying the declarative, imperative,
Standard interrogative, and exclamatory.
C. Learning At the end of the learning session, students should be able to:
Competencies/ a. classify sentences according to their functions;
Objectives b. construct declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory
sentences;
c. read sentences correctly and clearly with expressions; and
d. show teamwork and cooperation through participating in a group
activity.

6. Motivation Group yourselves into 4 groups. Each group

will be given pieces of paper with words written
on it, arrange those words in order to form a
sentence.

type of sentence. Would someone read its
definition.

Interrogative
sentence

Nice answer class. Its easy to understand,

right? Remember that an interrogative
sentence ends with a question mark. The
sentence that group 2 came up with is an
example of it. Did you get it class?

I also want to remind you that you have to read

an interrogative sentence well. You have to
sound like you’re really asking a question.
Don’t just read it as if it’s a declarative
sentence so you won’t be misunderstood when
someone listens to you.

Ok. let’s proceed to the next type of sentence

which is the imperative sentence. Kindly read
its definition.
