rigorous training where Sailors coming straight from Basic Naval Training who are interested in
becoming SEALs and meet SEAL requirements are trained and developed through stress,
teamwork, and challenges into becoming Navy SEALs.
Candidates will get into PT gear and fall in at the flippers. The Instructor will introduce the
Candidates to BUD/s and will instruct them on what to do throughout BUD/s. The Candidates
will then do 500 Jumping Jacks. Once all the Candidates have completed their Jumping Jacks,
they will then do 20 hell jacks. if one candidate messes up, make everyone restart and add 50
JJs. Once that exercise is completed the Candidates will get into O Course Uniform and will
head to the Obstacle Course. The Obstacle Course is not timed, and no teamwork is to be
used. The Candidate will complete it as fast as they can. There will be no cheating, no skipping
unless if really needed. If a Candidate at a particular part of the course falls more than 3 times,
he or she will do 10 Jumping Jacks and will proceed with the course. Once all the Candidates
have completed the course they will head back to the grinder and get on their BDU’s. The
Candidates will head to the classroom which is the barracks across from the uniform barracks,

restart. The Candidates will then fall back in at the grinder and will be dismissed. After they are
dismissed, they better get prepared for Hell Week.
Hell Week
Hell Week will take place at night. The Candidates will be put through stress, confusion, and
difficult physical training. The Candidates will head to the Obstacle course, they will do the
whole course under 8 minutes( war sounds will be played throughout hell week), and the
Instructor may use live fire to make it more realistic. If the Candidate does not complete the
course on time he or she will do 300 Jumping Jacks. Once the course is completed the
Candidates will run around the whole base 2 times ON the sidewalk. The starting line will be at
the grinder. Once that is completed, the Candidates will head to the logs, and push it up over
the hill 10 times. The Candidates will then head to the pool and do 10 laps. Each time a lap is
completed the Candidates will do 10 Jumping Jacks. Once the Candidates have completed the
laps, they will head back to the grinder and fall in. The Instructor will dismiss them.
Once the Jumping Jacks is completed the Candidates will head over to the pool. The
Candidates will push the boxes back and forth 5 times. While the Candidates wait in line they
will do Water Jacks. Once the Candidates have completed that, the Candidates will then swim
back and forth 10 times, the Candidates will count every time they have completed one lap.
After that, the Candidates will then head to the diving center where they will get into their scuba
gear and will swim and try to find the hole that is outside near the diving center and then will
