CHAPTER I

PROJECT BACKGROUND

Introduction

As we continue to live in a world where the pandemic is the center of everything

and the primary cause of our current problems. We were compelled to adapt to a life in

which the majority of our activities and daily routines are now completed through online.

We assume that most of us now are being familiarized by the social media platform,

online games, online websites, online applications, online search engine and etc. Modern

Filipino people are flooded with the opportunities to access information and

entertainment through the internet and most of us now are well aware about the existence

of online shopping. Therefore, all of us suggested the idea of promoting Computer

peripherals that could be convenient for both merchandisers and as well as the customers.

Project Background and Context

“PC Gilmore Computer Centers or PC Gilmore Corporation” is one of today’s

leading computer distributors, system integrator and internet solution provider. Boasts of

the widest reliable brands of computer products and services of the highest quality at very

low prices.

Formed in 2001 under the original name West Avenue Computer Center, PC

Gilmore started out as a computer-retailing business with a vision to deliver utmost

customer satisfaction at competitive prices without compromising quality. The business

expanded by adding systems integration and internet telephony to its services. To

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
QUEZON CITY UNIVERSITY 12

accommodate the ever-increasing demand of its customers, it finally expanded to the

suburbs of Metro Manila. And, as a result of the Company's "overachievement" since its

inception in 2001, PC Gilmore is confident that it will soon be able to expand its branch

network operations both within and outside Metro Manila, as well as in certain parts of

Luzon.

Project Purpose and Description

Main Objective

With the support of our online-based setup, the main objective of this

proposal seeks to deliver a more flexible and convenient services and a way of promoting

computer peripherals and tools that can be found inside the shop of Gilmore.

Specific Objectives

1. To design a system that can be used for availing Gilmore computer

peripherals.

2. To produce a way more secured and well trusted merchandise shop.

3. To develop a system that would provide time management for users.

4. To create a system that would help the Gilmore shop and their merchandisers

to promote their items in an online based set up .

5. To create a system that allows users to see information about every Gilmore

computer peripheral.

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

QUEZON CITY UNIVERSITY 13

Scope and Delimitations of the Project

Scope

1. This system concentrates on delivering clients the experience of purchasing

computer utilities, hardware tools, and other items using an online platform.

2. This system can accept an online transaction using remittances such as GCash,

PayMaya, and Palawan Express only.

Delimitations

1. This proposed system is exclusive only for Quezon City residents.

2. It only addresses the ordering process.

3. Only cash payments are accepted by the system. The proposed method

excludes online payment transactions through banks, such as ATMs, credit

cards, and checks.

4. The Gilmore PC shop may not provide some computer peripherals that the

clients wanted to buy.

Operational Definition of Terms

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

Foreign Literature, Studies and Systems

1. BUILDING A WEB-STORE USING PRESTASHOP PLATFORM

PrestaShop is a free e-commerce platform that was first published in 2007. It was

made open source under the Open Software License. (Source: PrestaShop 2016d,

accessed 21.8.2016). PrestaShop is utilized by 0.6 percent of all websites, according to

W3Techs (2016, referenced 21.8.2016). In other words, W3Techs is aware of 1.3 percent

of all websites that use a content management system. BuiltWith.com (2016, referenced

21.8.2016) has statistics on 363,401,011 websites, with PrestaShop being used by 0.4

percent of them.

According to PrestaShop 1.6 documentations (PrestaShop, 2016), the

administration panel is called back office. Back office is the panel where

adding/editing/removing products, handling carriers, building packs, creating vouchers,

keeping contact with customers, etc. can be done. So, back office is where the inner

working is done. Customers has no interaction with this area as this is admin area. This

area is also used to change the look and feel of front office.

Front office (PrestaShop 2016) view is how and where the module is displayed

within your shop's theme. Users do their interaction only with front office. They can do

all the e commerce activities allowed like going through catalog and shopping, etc.

2. SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS OF AN ONLINE ORDERING SYSTEM

The SERVCON measurement developed in the context of offline shopping does

not use a single aspect of the convenience of online shopping, as online retailers use the

Internet as a shopping platform. Several previous publications have tested the concept of

online quality of service by identifying the same dimensions of service convenience as

unique characteristics with dimensions such as ease of use of interactivity, information

search, depth and abundance of information and security.

According to Vijay et.al. (2017) point out that both internal and external elements

have a direct impact on website satisfaction. They highlight why and how website

satisfaction is important for the contribution of the purchase values and the website

atmosphere to the behavioral results by portraying their role as a mediator.

3. ONLINE SHOPPING BEHAVIOR OF YOUNG RUSSIAN CONSUMERS

According to (Chaffey, 2017) E-commerce can be defined as all electronically

forwarded transactions between a company and a third party. Thus it includes business-

to-business selling and a company’s internal processes supporting buying, selling,

recruiting and planning activities. Additionally non-financial transactions, such as

customer service, cooperating with business partners and electronic transactions within a

company are a part of e-commerce. E-commerce is the exchange of information across

electronic networks, at any stage in the supply chain, whether within an organization,

between businesses, between businesses and consumers, or between the public and

private sector, whether paid or unpaid.

4. DIGITAL ECOMMERCE

An amalgamation of elements are bundled into a marketer’s efforts to execute a

digital commerce strategy. It is a Content creation such as blogs, product descriptions,

and social media postings research and development, promotions, analytics, marketing,

social media presence, customer satisfaction, and customer support are all essential

components of any digital commerce strategy.

According to (Malla, 2018.) establishing any kind of business globally e-

commerce should be taken into action. E-Commerce has designed the scheme or plan of

doing business properly. To establish the business globally they provide all the balanced

opportunities which help the customer to do online shopping and to do easy online

transaction. Many people still believe that the traditional type of business is much better

than online shopping. Therefore, here is some theory for the benefits of e-commerce to

make people aware of the unquestionable aspect of business. 24/7 services: Time factor

can be considered as one of the most important factors which improve or increase sales.

In this business, time restrictions have been eliminated by e-commerce; Cost effective:

The transaction cost is effectively less. Also, it reduces the marketing cost, upgrades

processing, inventory management, customer care, and so on.

5. A BUSINESS MODEL FOR AN ONLINE CLOTHING STORE IN FINLAND

According to Pekesen (Feb, 2020) a business idea is the first step and the

beginning of a business. Business ideas are ideas that are valuable for customers,

profitable for the entrepreneur, and beneficial for society and are transformed into

services or products. I saw the potential growth for the fashion industry in Finland, as

mentioned above. Furthermore, I think that there should be more variety of clothing

brands in Finland. There are different brands to choose from; however, most of the

brands are fast-fashion labels such as H&M, Zara, Bik Bok, and test tubes. It seems that

the quality of these clothing brands does not satisfy customers.

6. SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING FOR AFRICAN HANDMADE

ACCESSORIES COMPANY

According to (Mind tools, 2016) Marketing mix is tool created to structure how

companies would deliver goods to their consumers. This was based on four P’s which are

product, place, price and promotion. It was introduced in the 1960’s by E.J McCarthy.

The tool was used to deliver the products to their consumer at the right place and time.

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

QUEZON CITY UNIVERSITY 21

In addition to Armstrong & Kotler (2017) one of the marketing aims is to satisfy

both human and social needs in a profitable manner. There are various ways in which

companies use to know consumers need. Once they know, establishment of good

relationship is the major aim for the company. One of the objectives in marketing is

adding value to new consumers and increasing the consumer base by satisfying the needs.

In addition to Philip Kotler & Gary Armstrong (2017) marketing evolved and

businesses connect with customer through digital platforms. The use of internet changed

the consumer’s perception of convenience, price and information about the price. Digital

marketing has influenced the marketer’s creation of values and maintaining customer

relationship. Internet and other form of digital networks have enabled more audience

control and increased knowledge on filtering marketing messages.

7. ASSESSMENT OF SERVICE QUALITY OF SELECTED ONLINE SHOPPING

PLATFORMS

According to Rice (2018) online marketers’ website is an important medium for

communicating with customers over internet and also identifies the online shopping

experience (Rice, 1997). Online companies identify the web experience of customers and

with the use of that they can influence the virtual interaction as well as the buying process

by focusing their marketing efforts. Super customer web experience changes the

perceptions, attitudes and convert the person into a buyer. It is important for the

companies to identify relevant set of web experience components and the factors which

drive customers to online decision making process.

In addition to Zeithamal (2019) a well-structured and designed website creates an

interest in the products and service. Most of the marketers continuously adapted the

changes in market place by changing their website frequently to become relevant in the

market. A good quality website must provide all the necessary information about

products and services and also able to grab the attentions of the customers

8. PERCEIVED IRRITATION IN ONLINE SHOPPING: THE IMPACT OF

WEBSITE DESIGN CHARACTERISTICS

According to Bassam Hasan (2016), Discomfort has been demonstrated to have a

negative impact on a variety of components of consumer purchase behavior. Despite the

massive growth of online shopping in recent years, there has been very little research on

perceived consumer irritation and its determinants in online shopping settings. This study

intends to close this gap by investigating the effects of visual, navigational, and

informational website design elements on consumers' reported discomfort during online

purchasing. The three website design traits have significant negative effects on felt

discomfort in the online buying context, according to data obtained from online

customers. These findings have important implications for web designers and online

retailers who want to create and maintain appealing websites that reduce frustration

among current and potential customers.

9. STRATEGIC BEHAVIOR OF E-COMMERCE BUSINESSES IN ONLINE

INDUSTRY OF ELECTRONICS FROM A CUSTOMER PERSPECTIVE

According to Hassan (2016) addressed aspects that do not suit to customers on the

website and discourage them from buying. He believes that in the traditional way of

purchasing, the customer can be influenced, for example, by an unpleasant confrontation

with the staff or other customers, and the literature has already sufficiently addressed

these aspects. In addition to Chen et al. (2014) & Svatošová (2015) the selection or

creation of a strategy should consider online customer behavior, customer retention and

growing customer value. Further point to the difference between strategy and business

model. The strategy includes a vision, setting itself in a competitive environment and

expressing an idea of the direction the company should take in the future.

10. IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING ON ONLINE PURCHASES OF

CONUSMERS IN SELECTED CITIES OF INDIA WITH RESPECT TO FAST

MOVING CONSUMER GOODS- PERSONAL PRODUCTS.

According to Shivalub (2017) customers get influence with western culture and

becoming more and more brand conscious day by day and started doing daily online

shopping by India’s middle class young consumers. There are also major areas touched

by developing technology and internet. However there are following strong challenges on

online marketing in front of India such as lack of confidence since internet users in India

is penetrating slowly and people there are illiterate in computer since they are from rural

area. Also the possible poor quality of product might unease the consumers to avail

online. Also Online fraud Indian consumer has pulled away from internet due to

increasing on frauds. Consumers are not much aware about cyber laws and justice which

is a major challenge for e-marketers. Purchase decisions In Indian families purchase

decisions were majorly done by housewife. They are not properly internet shopping

educated, so online marketing is not so popular in India especially in terms of daily

product category.

1. ONLINE SHOPPING

A leading online statistics company says the Philippines had e-commerce (online

shopping) sales of $ 1,237 million in 2017 and is expected to have a market size of $

2,619 in 2022.

Purchases Online attract customers because they offer convenience, savings, and a

variety of item options on one website. With less effort, customers can shop on websites

using Internet-connected devices (desktops, computers, laptops, and cell phones). One of

the incentives of the site is the offer in the form of discounts and savings that can attract

the customer and help them choose to buy online instead of a physical store. These

conditions are used as an opportunity for large retailers to ship their products efficiently

in order to generate more additional revenue. (Macarayo, 2017).

2. DETERMINANT FACTORS AFFECTING CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

AMONG FILIPINOS IN LAZADA ONLINE SHOPPING DURING COVID-19

PANDEMIC: A STRUCTURAL EQUATION MODELING APPROACH

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
QUEZON CITY UNIVERSITY 27

According to Prasetyo & Dela Fuente (2020) Due to the rapid advancement of the

internet, mobile applications, and other web technologies, online shopping is thriving in

the Philippines. It's a simple solution to the hectic lifestyle and COVID-19 pandemic that

the world is currently experiencing. According to a Statista analysis, the Philippines ranks

third among the world's fastest-growing e-commerce economies, outlasting its Southeast

Asian neighbor. Furthermore, according to a survey, Filipinos shop online for the ease of

not having to go to and queue at physical stores (58 percent), better pricing (47 percent),

and bargains (46 percent).

A key component of e-commerce success is analyzing consumer purchasing

decisions. It is impossible to develop e-commerce without recognizing the elements that

encourage online purchase, according to a study. E-commerce must establish the aspects

that must be met, as well as the criteria that must be met. Knowledge exploration was

described as an individual's actions when purchasing online in a study done to discover

attributes of persons making online purchases. A research of internet purchasing found

that positive shopping experiences and motivations result in high purchase intent.

Another study found that attitudes and changes in customers' attitudes toward

making online purchases are variables of online purchasing. On the contrary, a study

found that risk perception, enjoyment, social influence, and online advertising all had a

substantial impact on online shopping. In addition, customer feedback, trust, perceived

utility, and information quality are the most influential variables for consumers. Another

aspect, according to a study, is word-of-mouth, loyalty, and post-recovery satisfaction.

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

QUEZON CITY UNIVERSITY 28

According to another study, purchasing decisions are influenced by price,

availability, scarcity, product specifics, conditions, and social media. The results of an

empirical study on customer satisfaction in online purchasing found that loyalty, price

sensitivity, quality, time, and information availability all had a major impact on

satisfaction.

3. ONLINE SHOPPING

Online shopping began in 1979 by English businessman Michael Aldrich. His

system connected a modified home television to a real-time transaction processing

computer over a -household phone line. Today, online shopping is the current trend of the

generation due to the different benefits it offers for buyers and sellers. Consumers are

more confident buying a product after doing their own research online. (Eunyu Nis,

March 2014).

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

QUEZON CITY UNIVERSITY 29

According to Svonavec (September 2017), online shopping has many positive

benefits for consumers. Online stores are open 24 hours a day, so the problem of closing

the store before the consumer can make it exceptionally efficient during the holidays does

not have to deal with long and annoying lines. Due to the lack of operating costs, online

retailers are able to sell products at lower prices so that online shopping is not only faster

and more convenient, but also cheaper than going to the store. While shopping online has

advantages, there are many disadvantages to doing business online. Delayed products can

be overwhelming for shoppers, especially during the holidays. Shoppers also lose face-to-

face communication that the online retailer cannot provide.

4. ONLINE SHOPPING

According to France (October 2018) said, Filipino buyers also prefer to inspect

products themselves before purchasing, while others take into account the cost of

shipping and length of delivery time. Research Tech Lab (RTL) found that Filipinos are

safer if they review products before paying, while being able to accept the item

immediately after paying gives them peace of mind. It also recorded the appeal of online

shopping from July to September, which coincided with the promotion of major e-

commerce sites Lazada and Shopee. Here, the company found that 68.61% of Filipinos

still prefer traditional shopping. Since then, the market has grown rapidly.

In addition to Eshopworld.com, there are at least 37.7 million e-commerce users

in the country in 2018, up from 30.2 million in 2016. The number is expected to increase

to 53.8 million in 2020. A published report in May 2018 found that despite its growing

popularity, the Philippines is lagging behind in e-commerce sales in the Southeast Asian

region. (Eshopworld.com).

5. LOCAL ONLINE SELLERS MUST ADDRESS CHALLENGES TO ACHIEVE

GROWTH

ONLINE sellers in the Philippines are struggling with talent and resources to tap

into their enormous potential.

According to Vaibhav Dabhade (2019) there is a large community of online

sellers that is much underserved in the Philippine market. These vendors have enormous

potential for growth, but are often limited due to staff and resource shortages. In a recent

email interview with BusinessMirror.

QUEZON CITY UNIVERSITY 31

In addition, the Philippines is a huge potential market with untapped e-commerce

opportunities for businesses in the area. As e-commerce penetration, infrastructure and

telecommunications growth continue to expand, there will be many opportunities in all

industries, such as logistics and retail, Dabhade added.

6. CUSTOMERS’ PERCEPTION ON THE TRUSTWORTHINESS OF

ELECTRONIC COMMERCE: A QUALITATIVE STUDY

According to Segovia (2016) e-commerce was falling behind despite its fast

acceleration in the Philippines. One of the reasons was the lack of establishment in the

infrastructure which commonly involved the connectivity of the internet, electronic

payments, regulatory environment, and logistics. Internet problems were also present as

hindrances towards the further blooming of e-commerce in the Philippines. These internet

problems were the slow yet costly internet connection, internet hoaxes, the absence of

internet connectivity, and internet hacking.

7. FACTORS AFFECTING CONSUMER SATISFACTION TO ONLINE

SHOPPING

Most companies expand their network through an online platform. In different

scenarios (eg. pandemic situations), market providers must be versatile and adaptable to

different types of sales channels. This document outlined the factors that influence

consumer satisfaction when shopping online, such as reliability and responsiveness,

security and empathy, and tangibility. This document identified the significant difference

between the gender of the respondents and the factors that influence consumer

satisfaction with online purchases. In this work a descriptive method was used. A total of

487 online consumers (219 men and 268 women) in the city of Cabanatuan were included

in this study using a legacy questionnaire with legacy Likert scale responses. Based on

the data collected, the researchers drew four conclusions. First of all, respondents have a

high level of trust in their respective websites / apps for online shopping. Therefore, it is

recommended that online shopping website / app owners work to improve order

cancellation and return.

8. ONLINE BUYING PREFEENCES OF COLLEGE OF BUSINESS

ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND ACCOUNTANCY EMPLOYEES

According to Brendon Guzman (2016) Online shopping behavior, which is also

called online buying behavior and Internet shopping/buying behavior, refers to the

process of buying products or services via the Internet. The process consists of five steps

similar to those linked with traditional shopping behavior. Typically, when potential

patrons find the need for some merchandise or service, they use a search engine and look

for need-related information. However, at times potential patrons are easily enticed by

information about products or services associated with the felt need. They then look for

other options and choose the one that best fits their standards for meeting the felt need.

Finally, a transaction is conducted and after-sales services are provided.

9. DETERMINANTS OF E-COMMERCE ADOPTION OF PHILIPPINE

BUSINESS

According to Serafica & Albert (2018) they notes that technological

developments actually increase the likelihood of e-commerce occurring not only among

formal businesses but also between consumers, However, this study is unable to

distinguish the type of e-commerce relative to what is being traded: goods, services, or

data. The characteristics of the products being digitally ordered and/or delivered, while

closely related to the industry classification of the establishment, needs to be analyzed

further as product specific characteristics may affect the engagement of firms in e-

commerce. This can occur because of product-related regulations or characteristics. As

this study explores only the determinants of e-commerce adoption, the regression

equations are limited only to the characteristics of firms engaged in e-commerce with no

explanatory variable looking at specific policy variables. Further study can, for instance,

explore the role of incentives on the adoption of e-commerce.

10. Employment Impact of Business-to-Consumer E-commerce on Philippine

Workers

According to (Soriano, 2017) On the side of consumers, e-commerce is affecting

business through consumer empowerment. The Philippine Department of

Commerce(1901) notes that with e-commerce, there is an increase in customer choice

and convenience, more complete information, lower prices, and better customization.

With various websites to choose from, consumers are not anymore limited to the physical

stores near their homes or offices. They can shop even in stores from different countries.

For instance, with most newspapers going online, readers can now access information

from newspapers around the world. The number one reason cited by consumers for

making an online purchase is convenience. Indeed, shopping on the internet can save

time. In traditional commerce, a consumer would go to stores to look for a particular item

he is interested in and then compare the prices from different stores

Synthesis of the Reviewed Literature, Studies and Systems

The studies undertaking the result of being associated, affiliated and becoming

familiarized with e-commerce reveals that there are plenty of insights, different

preferences, and different opinions that we could find out in every literature we cite.

According to Chaffey (2017) e-commerce could be a good establishment for

having cash payment transactions between customers and business merchandisers. And

further to support from Malla (2018) that usage of e-commerce must be promote and do

globally. Although the idea of using e-commerce as the main source for transactions and

incomes Pekesen (2020) stated that, it is still important to become literate first in business

industry and entrepreneurship. Also the idea of having to study the field of

entrepreneurship Mind tools (2016) implies that, they should consider how they would

deliver good service and quality product to their customers, that was based on four P’s

which are product, place, price and promotion.

However, Rice (2018) said that while being associated and literate with e-

commerce, there is an alternative that we can also considerate such as online marketer’s

website, since it is an important medium for communicating with customers, online

companies identify the web experience of customers and with the use of that they can

influence the virtual interactions. Although a lot of possible feedback and outcome results

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

we could see because of E-commerce or any other online platform (Bassam Hasan,

2016).

There are negative impact on a variety of components of consumer purchase

behavior. This further supports from Hassan (2016) that indicates discouraging

consumers from buying online might be a cause for the negative impacts they find. Such

as an unpleasant way of confronting customers. The negative impacts further support

according to Shivalub (2017) which says that there are some challenges consumers

encounter about online marketing such as lack of confidence, poor internet connectivity,

purchase decision, as well as online fraud Indian consumer. Although some of this

studies have been result of negative impact. Prasetyo & Delafuente (2020) found out that

there are a lot of participants and people who use the internet mobile application, and

other web technologies especially in our current situations that experience COVID-19

pandemic. The rate of using online websites and application rise exponentially and e-

commerce are often being use.

In addition Eunyu Nis (2014) added that online shopping is the current trend of

the generations due to different benefits it offers for buyers and sellers. Unlike from the

found out study of Shivalub (2017) these one attain plenty of good feedback in addition

to Svonavec (2017)online shopping has many positive benefits for consumers such as

24/7 open, option for choosing item is more flexible, and also can avail in cheap prices.

Although it appeals that availing of product for cheap prices is convenient(France, 2018)

said Filipino buyers also prefer to inspect products themselves before purchasing, while

others take into account the cost of shipping and length of delivery time. Although the

studies says only about the outcomes it may produce for consumers, there is also a study

which focuses on the side of online merchandisers.

According to Jovilyn Fadol (2019).There is a large community of online sellers

that is much underserved in the Philippine market. These vendors have enormous

potential for growth, but are often limited due to staff and resource shortages, in a recent

email interview with BusinessMirror. This further supports the negativity of Philippine

online merchandisers (Segovia, 2016) as they experience failing behind because of the

lack of establishment such as poor internet connectivity, electronic payments and

regularly environment. (Brendon Guzman, 2016) Now this just proves that despite the

lack of establishment we have, the process and the systematic routine of internet

shopping still continues and because of the continual use of e-commerce and online shop

platform Serafica & Albert (2018) notes that technological developments actually

increase the likelihood of e-commerce occurring not only among formal businesses but

also between consumers The characteristics of the products being digitally ordered and/or

delivered, while closely related to the industry classification of the establishment, needs

to be analyzed further as product specific characteristics may affect the engagement of

firms in e-commerce. This further supports that the impact of E-commerce greatly

influence the business management and entrepreneur ship The Philippine Department of

Commerce (1901) notes that with e-commerce, there is an increase in customer choice

and convenience, more complete information, lower prices, and better customization.

System Development Methodologies

The researchers, as well as the members decided to rely their basis on creating

each relevant phase in creating the system using an agile methodology that includes the

requirement phase, design phase, develop phase, test phase, and deploy phase. The team

shows their passion in sticking at customers’ preferences as it is needed to integrate and

upgrade the system repeatedly, feedback cycles and continues improvement. The

developers are able to adjust and modify the system because the process, design,

deployment are being reevaluated continuously.

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

QUEZON CITY UNIVERSITY 56

The Beginning of agile methodology which is the requirements phase include

the action of gathering the projects requirements. Every members in the team gave their

ideas, thoughts, insights, and opinions that could be significantly important such as

describing each important and specific goals that would help to define the proposed

systems. It also includes the separation and distribution of each essential works to lessen

the unnecessary labor. Gathering data as much as possible are important, so that

developers could have more options and basis to begin in the development phase and

further to add that having plenty of data and information is essentially important since

there are tendency that development phase would fail to cover up all the requirements. So

having plenty of data and gathered information may help to improve accuracy,

preparedness and redoing of work. The next are the design phase. In this stage, the

proponents of designing the system will be based from the preferences and compatibility

of the client. As the developers should adjust the design based on the liking of the clients.

In this phase creating a prototype system are essential as it will serve as the basis in

formulating the upgraded version of the system. Developer team would begin to create

working system based on upon agreement of the said goals. Next are the development

phase. In this phase, the team will begin the intended figure of the system. Where in the

important components and essential tools shall be included in accordance of client needs.

The team will implement all the previous works and ideas that we come up together.

Culminate it and finalize all the necessary components. Quality assurance testing, internal

and external training, and documentation development will all take place throughout the

test phase. The one who advocate the system will begin to perform some run time of the

process to ensure the codes are functioning well, and the Systems are running with no

errors or malfunctioning. Finally the deployment phase, this will be the final

culmination of formulating the system. This will involve now an input from other party

involve to ensure and see its compatibility and working running state and eventually

evaluate from the beginning to integrate and upgrade the system.

2. Compatibility: The system does not have any problem with its compatibility in any

operating system.

3. Usability: The Online Ordering Computer System are extremely easy to understand

the components and environmental figures. The interface of the system are also user-

friendly so user will not have problem with interacting on it.

4. Performance Efficiency: The Online ordering computer system has accuracy

especially when it comes in the specifications of each computer peripherals. Availing of

items and selection of products.

5. Functional Sustainability: The system facilitate its features by continually integrating

it. New features to be added, new computer product items to be shown.

6. System Integrity: System requires to register account for the customers to use.

7. Maintainability: Clients could maintain their computer products in their own accord.

Control the amount of items. The developers are also in continues support of maintaining

the system in case some malfunctioning occur from the system

The team begins the project by collecting all the relevant components and things

to consider during the brainstorming or creation of the proposal such as the important

reasons like the general objectives, specific goals sample issue with reliable solution.

Now that we have speculate a problem along with a possible solutions. The team started

now to have basis of what our system would turn out to be. And begin to gather as much

as possible data. With the agreement of all members. We decided to inquire on a

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

company concerning on improving their business. By becoming involve with the

company. We now have basis we could use as a stepping stone of creating system.

Identifying what the companies may need, what they lacked and what they should

improve. The team identifies the objectives, scope and delimitation of the proposed

system and begin now in creating a system design with user friendly interface to help

other users as well as the companies to easily understand each components inside of the

system.

For the testing, Researchers may now begin to evaluate every programs that their

developers created. And make sure that, each components are functioning well enough

and does not have any technical errors. Also it is important to assess the system based on

the clients’ preferences and needs.

SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter contains the summary and recommendations that have been reached

by the proponents whilst undertaking this project. The results of the project are

summarized to show how effective the system is and recommendations are given as well

to further improve future development of the project or for future researchers.

Summary

The proposal of this study clarifies the importance of availing computer

peripheral items in the Gilmore shop. The Online Computer Gilmore shop demonstrate

its capability by establishing a good relationship between the company and buyer in a

way that they can interact in another approach such as using an online Web based

platform. The usage of this System is to serve as an extension of promoting computer

items in another systematical approach. Unlike in other traditional and local business

marketing. This system may help the company to display their computer peripherals not

only in the traditional aspect such as selling them physically but also promote them in a

wider areas. The proposed systems requires a device such mobiles and computers to show

its interfaces and features. Also an internet provider that would connect the System

worldwide

Recommendations

The proposed online ordering system allows the companies to upgrade their

business marketing by facilitating their products through an online based platform.

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

QUEZON CITY UNIVERSITY 62

Online ordering of computer items are known for their extensive capabilities in

promoting products. The systems benefit the customers by having them more enough

time to look for their Computer preferences. Also customers save the trouble of randomly

looking for a quality computer items. This type of system regulates customers’

preferences. They also may not have any trouble interacting with the systems since it has

a user friendly interface that helps the customers to understand the environmental features

inside it. The PC Gilmore shop has a manual physical shop only. Innovating it using an

online based platform will surely help the company to increase their marketing rate.
