SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE:

• To achieve this one can optimize the site to


its fullest, by using:
• Natural north lights
• By considering wind flow
• By marking out sun path and thus using
light for full usage of solar panels

AREA:

The site total area is: 5.2 ha


The proposed site lies between the high- density mixed-use
development at the north(comprising of software companies, high
density residential developments, and shopping malls),Institutions
and schools in the west and low-density residential developments in
the east and south.
The total area of the unused land is 3,207,560 sq ft. It has dense
vegetation in the southwestern and northeastern edges. The
northwestern corner is selected to be the site for the film Institute
because of its close proximity to the airport. It is also a gray land
which is most suited for construction. Initially, the entire unused
land was taken as a bigger picture.

PURPOSE OF SITE:

with respect to the context and the proposed Film district, there
was a need for more mixed -use residential cum retail
developments. This was essential for accommodating the students
and faculty of the school and retail and cafes on the ground level
would serve the entire film district. It would also energize the whole
area and engage the community in this area.
EXISTING SITE

CUSTOMERS ATTRACTION/BUSINESS PROFITABILITY

The development was planned to have in a way that merged fluidly with
thesurrounding context. The high-density mixed-use development as it came
down to the south merged to the film district. It is then connected to a
medium densely mixed –use serving the film District and it tones down to
single family residential developments
to the Film District. Streets open up into this land to create more public
engagement.
The area used for the Media village of its close proximity to the airport. It is
complex is approximately 570,250 sq ft.

POTENTIAL OF SITE/SCOPE :

Using site to its fullest, considering scope for eg: According to Google Pune is one of the top 5
fashion influenced cities, where a need is aroused to have a fashion institute in such prominent city.
Pune does have fashion institutes but it
Doesn’t have a only dedicated fashion space, and does not have a NIFT branch.
Therefore I have selected Pune as my site.
