4 Have the Blocks (of approved quality) been soaked in water till the bubble ceases to come up?

6 Check Mortar mix ratio / proportions

7 Has the quantity of mortar sufficient for the next 30 mintures mixed?
8 Correct quantity and quality silt free (less than 8%) medium gritty clean sand for mortar mix available?

9 Is sufficient clean water available for mortar mixing?

10 Are corner profiles set up correctly for brick layers


11 Built-in door frames and other items are in position, level, square & plumb.

12 Check the dimensions and diagonals of room after laying first layer of blocks

13 Horizontal first bed course.


Has all the Vertical joints been staggered? All Joints to be even and of about 10mm and Raked (8 to 10 mm) out properly when the
14 mortar is green?

15 Check vertical alignment of every 5 courses of brick wall with plumb bob.

Check for verticality and alignment of the brickwork .Deviation shall not be more than tolerance limit ( 10mm in Alignment and 5mm in
17 verticality for 3m height

21 Check all vertical joints are staggered and joint thickness is 10 to 12 mm to be used as a key for plastering or pointing.

22 Has all the voids in brick joints filled with consistent grout?

23 Plastic sheeting placed near to adjoining wall for collecting fallen mortar?
24 Lintels installed correctly and level

25 All chasing and penetration holes for plumbing correct?

26 All chasing and penetration holes for electrical cabling / conduits correct?

26 Has the entire floor been cleaned after the work?

28 Check For minimum 7 days curing of all masonary work


Plastering

29 Ensure walls are cleaned, prepared and ready to receive plaster.

30 Measure and establish plaster thickness.

31 Plaster applied as per specifications?

32 Plaster applied smoothly

33 Plaster thickness consistent?

34 Excess spilled plaster removed?

35 Plaster cured as per specification

36 All wind cracks repaired and smoothed out?

37 All corners finished off and smooth?
