    Assignment No.1

    Scenario:-

    Suppose an organization wants to develop a computer network among its Finance and HR departments in
    such a way that each department will have its own local area network and both the local area networks
    (LANs) will be connected with each other.You are required to use packet tracer tool to draw the network
    diagram for Organization’s network as per following requirements:

    Requirement-1: LAN of Finance department has 6 computers that will be connected with each other
    using a switch through appropriate cables.

    Requirement-2: LAN of HR Department has 5 computers that will also be connected with each other
    using a switch through appropriate cables.

    Requirement-3: Switches of both department LANs will be connected with a router.

    Requirement-4: Display name of the Finance Department’s Switch should be “Finance Department”.

    Requirement-5: Display name of the HR Department’s switch should be “HR Department”.

    Requirement-6: Display name of the router should be “Your VUID”.

    Requirement-7: Display name of Computers/PCs of Finance Department should be as given below

    Finance-PC1
    Finance-PC2
    Finance-PC3
    Finance-PC4
    Finance-PC5
    Finance-PC6

    Requirement-8: Display name of Computers/PCs of HR Department should be as given below


    HR-PC1
    HR-PC2
    HR-PC3
    HR-PC4

    After designing the network according to the above-mentioned requirements using packet tracer tool, you
    are required to further perform the following tasks:

    Task-1: Configure IP address on each computer of both LANs. You are required to use the following
    addresses range for all PCs.

    Department IPv4 Address Subnet Mask Default Gateway

    Finance Department 192.168.0.2-192.168.0.7 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.1


    HR Department 192.168.2.2-192.168.2.6 255.255.255.0 192.168.2.1

    Task-2:By using the ipconfig /all command on HR-PC1 command prompt, check the IP address, MAC
    address and default gateway.

    Task-3: By using the Ping command, check the connectivity of Finance-PC4 in finance department with
    HR-PC2 of HR department.
