My name is _____________ (type your name), and I was born on _____________ (insert your
birth date) in _____________ (type state and city). I’ve known _____________ (insert the names
of both partners) for 20 years now. We met the day they moved to our neighborhood, and from
that moment, our families spend plenty of time together and have grown to be very close friends.
My wife and I always socialize with them and celebrate various holidays together.
They’ve been married for 25 years now, and I’ve never seen such a loving couple like them.
Their kids are just wonderful and have great achievements at school. The couple itself has
successful careers, and they make a significant contribution to our local community.
I believe _____________ (type the names of both partners) will become perfect residents of the
USA, and I strongly support them in their desire to secure permanent residency here. They are
committed to each other and are strongly in love.
I appreciate the opportunity to speak on their behalf and feel honored they chose me to write this
recommendation letter. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them whenever you need to.
Contact me at _____________ (insert your phone number) or _____________ (insert your
email).
Sincerely,
My name is _____________ (type your name). I was born on _____________ (insert your birth date) in
_____________ (type state and city), and have been a US resident for more than 30 years now. I’ve
known _____________ (insert your husband’s name) for 20 years from the day we first met at school.
We have been married for more than ten years, and I couldn’t find a better husband than him.
He’s always there for me and always makes sure I feel okay. He cares about our sons, our business, and
our home. In addition to this, he cares about orphans in a local orphan home, collecting food, clothes,
and toys for them. He also volunteers for various celebrations in our city and offers his help whenever
he feels someone needs it. All of his friends (and he has a lot of them) say he’s doing more for our
community than any other resident.
And so do I. I believe _____________ (type your husband’s name) would become a decent resident of
the USA as he has only clear intentions, and we love each other deeply. We are strongly committed to
each other and want to spend the rest of our lives together. Receiving the permanent residency in
_____________ (type state and city) would make this a lot easier.
I always support him, and especially now when he wants to secure residency. For more questions, you
can contact me at _____________ (insert your email) or _____________ (insert your phone number). I
will be glad to answer them and dispel your doubts if you have any.
Best Regards,
IRCC
To whom it may concern:
My name is Samantha Bodine and I have been a resident of Orillia, Ontario for over 26 years. I
have known Sondra since high school and have known Belisario Valdez for almost 3 years now.
I have been close friends with Sondra since 9th grade in Orillia. I first met Belisario when he
visited Sondra in September 2017 after they met in Varadero, Cuba the previous winter.
Sondra has visited Belisario frequently, and on the two occasions he came to Canada (September
2017 and May 2018) to visit Sondra. I spent some enjoyable time together with them as we
visited Wasaga Beach. We had dinner with them a couple of times with my husband and we
thoroughly enjoyed his visits. We were surprised at how well Belisario spoke English!
Their wedding in Cuba on the 14th of October in 2018 is something I’ll always remember.
Sondra’s mother was there as well as her brother and his wife and me and my husband attended
the wedding in Varadero as well. Belisario’s family was there of course, along with many of his
friends. While it was a civil wedding, (at what they call the Registro Civil) the reception
afterwards was so much fun! It was near the beach and the food and music were wonderful! And
it was so beautiful to see Sondra and Belisario and how much they love and respect each other.
I honestly feel that they are in a caring and solid marriage. They are devoted to each other, and
Sondra has nothing but the best to say about Belisario. As long as I have known them, they really
seem committed and dedicated to each other and I think they have a happy marriage.
I fully support the couple’s efforts to secure permanent residence for Belisario in Waterloo,
Ontario where Sondra now lives. If you need more details, please contact me at

Sincerely,
Samantha Bodine

I am writing this letter in order to vouch for the committed relationship between Ariel Sokolich
and Greta Thomlinson. As Ariel’s younger brother, I have always admired his kindness and the
fact that he’s always there for you, whether you’re his brother or a good friend. I have come to
know Greta these last 3 years and deeply appreciate what a wonderful person she is and how
she’s become a close friend of our family here in Winnipeg.
Ariel met Greta on a camping trip in late August 2016 to the lakes district in Minnesota. I
remember Ariel telling me he had met someone really special at our family Christmas in 2016.
Greta is from Minneapolis, and he was so pleased that she lived relatively close to Winnipeg.
After visiting her in Minneapolis a couple of times that fall, in March of 2017, Greta flew up to
Winnipeg to visit Ariel here in Winnipeg. There’s five of us siblings plus our parents in
Winnipeg so we were really curious to meet Greta, but we gave Ariel his space and finally got to
meet her on her second visit to Winnipeg in May 2017. It was wonderful and we realized how
much in common they had and how well they seemed to get along.
When they decided, they were going to get married in October of 2017, Ariel and I talked about
who should move where and he mentioned that Greta was willing to move to Canada. She’s an
agricultural engineer, so we expect her to be able to find well-paid employment here in
Winnipeg. Given the fact that Ariel’s works for the federal government as a procurement
manager, having Greta move to Winnipeg made more sense. They were both really eager to get
married rather than waiting a little longer, and both families supported their decision. We met
Greta’s family on Labour Day weekend in 2017, visiting them at their cottage on West Rush
Lake which is about an hour’s drive from Minneapolis. We all felt so at home with the
Thomlinson family and had a barbeque together and spent a fantastic weekend.
The wedding was held at their cottage a month later on Saturday October 7, 2017, so my parents
and siblings plus a few of Ariel’s friends drove down from Winnipeg. The ceremony was simple
and beautiful on a lovely fall day. I’ll remember it for the rest of my life, especially since Ariel
had asked me to be his best man. Greta’s parents, her grandmother, and her brother as well as
several cousins, made us feel part of their family.
When I surprised everyone in the family the following year by telling them I was getting
married, Greta and Ariel along with everyone else, attended my wedding in Winnipeg on May
19, 2018 (the Saturday of the Victoria Day weekend which we had to explain to Greta).
As Ariel’s brother and a witness to their relationship as a couple, I can attest that they have a
loving, solid relationship and are also each other’s best friend. Please contact me if you require
any further information.
Sincerely,
Greg Sokolich
