Workshop on the Review of Senior High School Voucher
Operational Manual (October 7, 2016, ADB Pasig City)

DepEd has allocated P24 billion in 2017 to the


SHS Voucher Program in private schools. The
proposed allocation is twice the current budget
and will cover an estimated 1.4 million student
grantees who will enroll in Grades 11 and 12 in
private schools next year.
Non-DepEd public schools offering SHS will
receive P1.3 billion to cover 138,462 grantees
who will enroll in state and local universities
and colleges.

private and government education ministries,
departments, and agencies that attended the
APEC Women in STEM Forum: A Framework
for Dialogue, Learning and Action in Lima,
Peru.

November 3-4, 2016, SMX, Mall of Asia, Pasay City

Education summit 2016 jointly convened by the


Department of Education (DepEd) , the Commission on
Higher Education (CHEd) and the Technical Education and
Skills Development Authority (TESDa) that brought
together 500 delegates from the education agencies and
their stakeholders.
The summit served as venue for the education agencies
to share their respective agenda, took stock of where they
were in the education particularly the SHS, identified the
issues, discuss solutions, identify areas of partnerships and
collaboration and charted future directions.
