I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the learner should be able to:
a. describes how communication is affected by media and information MIL11/12IMIL-IIIa-1
b. identifies the similarities and differences of media literacy, information literacy, and technology
literacy MIL11/12IMIL-IIIa-2
c. editorializes the value of being a media and information literate individual. -MIL11/12IMIL-IIIa-3

Motivation:

A. Activity:
Distribution of worksheet
Group the students for sharing of their media, habits, lifestyles and preferences

B. Analysis
The teacher will ask the following question:
1.What is belief?
2. What is Religion?
3. What is Spirituality
C. Abstraction (lecture proper)
The teacher will explain and define the meaning of Belief Systems, Religion, World View and
Spirituality.
The teacher will explain the Basic Religious concept.

D. Application (Fact or Bluff Drill)


The students will examine the following statements. They will write “Fact” if the statement is correct
and write “Bluff” if the statement is incorrect.

B. Motivation

 Divide the class into 2 small groups. Each group will be asked to guess the word based
on the given four pic- one-word game for them to have an idea about the topic to be

Problem (Ask the learners what is a problem in T’boli, Muslim, Hiligaynon dialects) Integration of
Literacy
Ask Tboli learners how Tboli tribes address problems in marriage. (Do they have rituals or
conferences made by the elders to solve the problem?)
Respondents (Ask how many people they need to invite with the 100 target respondents where
25% are expected to respond to the survey/activity? (Integration of Numeracy)

C. Developmental Activities
 After the learners have guessed the terms, let them have a short recall about research and the
importance of conducting it.
What is research and why is it important?
Who do you think is the father of research? (Integration of History and Numeracy)
Do you think Albert Einstein has limitations/ weaknesses? (Ask a student what is
weakness in Tagalog, Hiligaynon, T’boli, and other dialects
 Do our weaknesses/limitations and disabilities will hinder us to succeed?
Can you enumerate the technical terms we used in the research?

 Show them the word cloud and let them identify the terms they can see according to the basic

2. ANALYSIS
 What do you think are the technical terms used in research?
 Discuss the different technical terms, where each group will actively participate in a play and
learn task (Which is Which game)
 The teacher will ask the students about the clue/ hint word/s in each term to guide them in
understanding the terms in research.
 Remind the learners of the classroom rules of helping and participation
 Remind them also the importance of using the English language in discussion and translation
of words/ ideas to those who have problems in expressing their thoughts.

A. Tell Apart
 Students will tell what technical terms of research are the following items:

1. There is no significant relationship between the Involvement of Parents and Academic


Performance of Students Amid a Pandemic. (Hypothesis – Integration of Pandemic)- ask
about the importance of the roles of parents in encouraging their sons/daughters to
wholeheartedly learn despite COVID 19.
2. The participants in the study are the fifty (50) Grade 10 Students who are utilizing printed
modules in English (Respondents- Integration of Numeracy)
Ask the following questions:
 Why there is a need to familiarize technical terms in research?
 How can you help your group better understand the purpose and knowing these terms in
research especially those who have difficulties in expressing their ideas using the English
language? (Values Integration)
 Why is it important for everyone to have a positive attitude in doing research studies? (Values
Integration)
4. APPLICATION
 Divide the class into 2 small groups, each group will do the draw lots and after which the
group will identify a problem and formulate three questions based on the given pictures. The
questions being formulated will be used as their guide in making an outline applying the
technical terms used in research on the next lesson (Follow-up integration on Pandemic, DRR integration)
