INTEROFFICE MEMORANDAM
INTRODUCTION:
Following is our second quarterly report on the wind power plan project, as requested by you
on 5th February, 2022. The initial preparation that are mandatory for any project, such as inspection,
chat program with locals, site approval from local government and figuring out the ideal spot in that
region, has been accomplished. The project is still in its early stages, although work has been
completed on a regular basis. From now on, we are likely to recruit additional workers and enlist the
assistance of government
agencies.
DISCUSSION:
Work Accomplished:
During the second quarter, we have accomplished the following work:
2. Construction: As the approval was granted during initial report, the construction was started
without further delay. Construction and set up of the tower & attachment of the rotor blades were
accomplished.
3. Recruitment of workers and supervisor: Additional workers were recruited for construction of
foundation for the wind turbine and a supervisor was hired for managing the transportation
department.
4. Financial status: The initial 25% of the first installment has been utilized for purchasing
construction materials, mechanical components and for salary & incentives.
Work Remaining:
1. Electrical Set-up: The transmission line for the conversion of mechanical energy into electricity
is being built by a team of electrical engineers. All of the heavy equipment has already arrived,
it's up to them to connect it all together.
2. Basic design of a new concept for a three-bladed wind turbine: The design of three bladed
wind turbine is on process as the 3d sketch was already made on solid works with rough
dimensions.
3. Testing & Connecting to The Grid: After the electrical setup has been completed, the final work
remaining will be the testing of the turbine. After successful testing, the turbine will be
connected to the national electrical grid.
Problems Encountered:
Due to the lockdown during the initial few days, the transportation was difficult, due to which
the project was delayed and also due to the lack of an experienced engineer, huge precautions were
needed for the construction of the wind tower. Few workers were on leave for 3 days due to which the
work took a slow pace.
We are behind time and likely over budget owing to the seasonal climate. However, I am
hopeful that with the addition of more supervisors and laborers, as well as the highly experienced
engineers, we will be able to reach our construction schedule.
