I am Arun Kumar V, pursuing MBA at National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli

specialising in the domain of marketing. I always wanted to do an internship in the

domain of marketing as the real-world has lot more to teach than books, journals
and reports teach. I started my internship hunt from the month of March this year
in the field of Sales and Marketing. I applied in LinkedIn and Internshala for the
companies which matched my requirements. I gave my resume to many companies and
personally mailed to some of the company HRs but I never got any response from the
other end. On a fine day, I saw a notification in LinkedIn as IFortis Corporate is
hiring Marketing intern and Campus Ambassador. I applied for the position of
marketing intern and within one week, I got a direct message from Ms. Sparshita
Dutta. She introduced herself as an HR in IFortis Corporate and she texted me that
I was selected for marketing intern for a period of one month. Also, she texted
that she would conduct a short interview for period of 30 minutes. I was happy and
excited as I was waiting for such an opportunity. The next day, after receiving
direct message, sat for a short interview. She was calm, quiet person who listened
to my responses and more than interview, it was one on one conversation with a
friend. I want to thank her for smooth onboarding to the company. She shared my
login credentials of the company portal and a document to be filled by me. I filled
and submitted the documents and joined duty on the next day after the interview.

By the next week, I attended a meeting where I was put in a team consisting 3
members and Sparshita Dutta was our team head. She explained us about the Standard
Operating Procedure-1 (SOP-1) and what we must do. For our convenience, she split
the SOP-1 into two parts as everyone was facing difficult times. She gave us a
considerable deadline as we could complete our tasks. She behaved with me in a
friendly manner and enquired about me and constantly supported me to achieve the
tasks. She also extended her helping hands if I am in a position of difficulty. As
a leader, she did not command rather worked together with us for the company’s
interest. Even when I am tired and about to give up, she motivated me positive
words and inspired me throughout my internship journey.

Being a good corporate citizen, IFortis Corporate not only restricts themselves in
only focussing in business but also, they give back to the society. Their CSR
projects motivates youths & women and promote the culture of entrepreneurship. Some
of their notable CSR activities are AARAMBH 2020, ENTREPRENEURSHIP 360, YOUTH
SHOULD LEAD, MORE POWER TO WOMEN and much more. These activities had given a ray of
hope to the youths who were feeling down amid pandemic and moved up their spirits.

I worked in a project named IFORTIS LIVE, a contest conducted by IFortis Corporate

in association with Unique World Records and International Book of Records. The
contest is basically conducted for the school going students from Class 1 to Class
12, who are most affected by the pandemic as they did not attend school for a year,
and they were surrounded by sorrow and negativity. To motivate them and get away
from boredom, the competition gets the students to come out of creativity and show
their skills to the outside world. I made register eight candidate under my
referral code. The students I approached were hesitant to participate but I
motivated and encouraged them. After a long exchange of words, I convinced them and
made register.

As an intern representing the corporate, it was a new and sweet experience for me
as I approached on behalf of the company rather than approaching on my personal
capacity and making them to register for IFortis LIVE.

As an intern, the life at IFotis Corporate had impacted my daily life but scanning
the prospective people to get the job done and time management it inculcated in me
during the internship process.

The corporate’s future goal is to stepping in Apparel manufacturing industry with

an ambitious mission to create more employment opportunity for the women & youth
across India and helping them to become self-reliant with obsessive focus on the
quality, worker’s safety & welfare, social responsibility and customer
satisfaction. IFortis Corporate always leaves a successful imprint on the any
industry they enter and in apparel industry which they are going to enter also will
imprint their success and leave no stone unturned.

Their good environment and workplace culture!
