STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

SCIENTISTS STUDY THE WORLD AS IT IS, ENGINEERS CREATE THE WORLD THAT
NEVER HAS BEEN – THEODORE VON KARMANT
TECHNOLOGY in every form has always been something that I have craved for. The growing
desire to excel in the field, fueled with my logical approach, inquisitive nature, and analytical
disposition, helped me cement my foundation in engineering. I now foresee myself contributing
significantly and leaving a mark in field of Mechanical Engineering.
At the young age, I learned mathematics and logical reasoning from my grandfather, a high school
mathematics teacher who taught the importance of logic and rationality early in life. During my
high school days, I got fond of those subjects which my grandfather has been taught. The
experiments he used to demonstrate in our practical laboratory had a profound impact on me. I also
wanted to be able to check, measure, quantify and validate scientific ideas by bringing them to life
through experiments as he did. I am fond of cars from early childhood. Quite naturally my first
thoughts about a future career tended towards ENGINEERING.
I have always been attracted towards subjects that draw upon one’s analytical mind. Consequently,
Automobile Engineering and Mechanical Engineering as my choice for diploma and undergraduate
study seamlessly fit in. Each subject in this discipline intrigued me in its own way; but I channelized
my zeal into core topics and further, getting into my field of interest reflected positively in my
academic performance. I often stayed back in the laboratory to exercise my passion for core
mechanical subjects. Very soon, I began appreciating technological advancements and took keen
interest in Automobile Engineering and successfully completed the diploma in it with first class
with distinction.
In my perspective, both theoretical and practical knowledge should go hand in hand. Keeping in
this mind I always try to implement my theoretical knowledge into practical during my final
semester in polytechnic college. I willingly involved for a 6 month internship in Windsor motors
which mainly helps me to expose recent technologies and gain experience in automobile
environment. This helped me to understand various systems practically.
I feel that extracurricular activities are also as important as studies in estimating a person's overall
capacity and self-confidence. These activities instilled confidence in me to face various challenges
and also invoked my leadership qualities. As a class leader for 3 years and chess player
representing the college, I am in a position that many students would covet. I feel that I have
evolved into a dynamic person due to my commitment to many extra-curricular activities at the
higher level.
I choose mechanical engineering in bachelors due to my interest in it. In my final year, I took up a
analysis project and it was quite interesting. I came across people, who closely followed
developments in various technical fields, and we incorporated our knowledge inthis project and
the topic was “Steady State Thermal Analysis On Trapezoidal Fin Using Ansys”. It was a real
challenge to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of fin. This Project shows the performance
of trapezoidal fin.
During my final year of my bachelors, I needed the basic gears like Manufacturing, Dynamics,
electronics and Process engineering along with practical experiments to dive into the unfathomable
depths of the ocean called Mechanical Engineering, suffice to say that I successfully explored and
jumped out with First Class With Distinction.
Apart from my curriculum I have took up some online courses such as Fundamentals of
Manufacturing processes, and Abrasive machining & Finishing processes in NPTEL and I passed
with Elite marks and also did one week training courses conducted by APSSDC. This boosts up my
knowledge in various modules of Industrial engineering. Besides that, I have successfully
completed an internship program in Hyundai motors after completion of my B.tech. Apart from this
we have an industrial visit in Narla Tatarao Thermal Power Station as part of curriculum. Finally, I
had done 2 months Internship in an high precision tubes manufacturing company called META
ENGITECH after my graduation with a main objective to learn new technologies and gain practical
knowledge. I am working at Agastya automotives since January 2022. I gained wide range of
practical knowledge by working there as mechanical engineer.
I’ve firmly realized that my learning attitude and professional skills can help me elegantly leverage
the next years to gain knowledge and contribute to this field considerably. I have good knowledge
and work experience in the mechanical field. I want to learn sustainability concepts and strengthen
my knowledge in transportation systems. I am looking forward for an opportunity to carry forward
my career in your university. My aspiration to pursue a master’s program in Transportation Systems
in your University is underscored by the fact that it offers the flexibility needed for an in-depth
understanding of the vast and rapidly changing field. I desired to be person with skilled specialist
and managerial responsibilities in any of the most renowned areas since I am highly interested in
this fields and I want to acquire fundamental and methodical skills in a broad range of Technological
topics. Since Transportation Systems at your university is unique worldwide, I want to gain
systematically technical expertise and develop my personal competencies. My ambition is to
become fully qualified and well prepared to adjust the various requirements which I will encounter
in my future career.
An extremely dynamic and successful region with a distinctly strong economic structure provides
for excellent framework conditions and being the University, which avails a numerous partnership
with both national and international institutions and enterprises which guarantee practice-oriented
study courses and high academic quality. My ultimate dream is to learn more practical related
approaches with the help of knowledge from your esteemed University.
