    SERVICE INFORMATION LETTER (SIL)

    NEW KNOBS OF CYLINDER ASSEMBLY P/N’S 176112-38 , 176900, 176960-13,


    176960-14 & 176960-ZA AND REGULATOR ASSEMBLY P/N’S 172032-42,
    172032-72, 172034-01 & 172034-41 SHIPPED DURING THE PERIOD
    APRIL 14, 98 TO JULY 20, 98

    1.0 Subject: New machined knob with diamond knurl surface (shown in figure 1)
    attached to above mentioned cylinder assemblies & regulator assemblies shipped from
    PBASCO, 10800 Pflumm Road, Lenexa, Kansas 66215 USA during the period April 14, 98 to
    July 20, 98 has a dimensional error which resulted in improper knob retention to regulator
    shaft.

    2.0 Action required by the customer:


    2.1 If you have received any portable oxygen cylinder assemblies or portable regulator
    assemblies with above mentioned part numbers fitted with a knob as shown in figure 1,
    and shipped during the period April 14,98 to July 20, 98 please return them back to
    PBASCO immediately.
    2.2 If you have received products during that period with old style painted knobs, shown in
    figure 2, no action is required as those knobs have no problem .

    3.0 Solution to the Problem: PBASCO will replace the knobs in error with correct knobs as
    soon as possible and ship back to customers free of any cost. We regret any inconvenience
    this problem might have caused to our valued customers.
