Name the parts by labeling the illustration below.
b. Pre-Test
Measures student’s prior knowledge about the lesson through a pre-test. The teacher will flash
five questions answerable by true or false.

1. Asthma is triggered by allergens.


2. Covid 19 is a serious global infectious disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus.
3. Lifestyle has a direct effect on the organs of the respiratory and circulatory system.
4. Unhealthy lifestyle gives your body the best chance to fight virus and bacteria.
5. Consult a doctor when symptoms of common respiratory and circulatory diseases
persist.

1. Good nutrition, good sleep and rest. Avoid eating high cholesterol and fatty foods.
2. Do not smoke.
3. Exercise regularly.
4. Observe strict personal hygiene.
5. Avoid crowds.
To identify practices that promotes healthy lifestyle.

E. Elaborate ACTIVITY 2: Healthy and Unhealthy Lifestyle


The teacher will group the students into 5. Each group will have 10 members. Each member of
the group will be given 2 set of emoji (Smiley and Sad face Emoji). Their task is to identify the
following pictures as to healthy or unhealthy lifestyle using the emojis given. They are going to
raise the SMILEY  emoji if the picture shows healthy lifestyle and SAD  emoji if the
picture shows unhealthy lifestyle. The first member of the group who is positioned at the front
will answer item no. 1 followed by second and so on. The group who is first to raise the correct
emoji will be given a point.

ACTIVITY 3: Let’s do the Math!


Students will compute and record their BMI using the Formula. This activity will help students
determine if they are healthy or not.

F. Evaluating Post-Test – True or False


Directions: The following statement shows the effects of one’s lifestyle to the
functioning of the respiratory and circulatory system. Identify if the following statements
are correct or not by drawing a SMILEY face if the statement is True and SAD face if it is
false.

You are going to make an infographic showing how to take care of the respiratory. You can
draw/write or print the infographic on a separate sheet of bond paper.
