THE INSTITUTION OF ENGINEERS (INDIA)
The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is the largest multi-disciplinary
professional body of engineers, established in 1920 and incorporated
under Royal Charter in 1935. The Institution has been serving the
engineering fraternity for over a Century with its national & international
presence through 125 Centres spread all over India, 6 Overseas Chapters
and 8 Flora. The IEI encompasses 15 engineering disciplines with a
Corporate Membership of over 8 lakhs.

Pioneer in providing Non-formal Engineering Education (popularly
known as AMIE Exam).
Inculcating and promoting amongst engineers and technologists a
growing commitment to the social objectives of the profession.
IEI has completed 102 years of its services in Engg. Advancement for
Nation building. As a part of this, The Telangana State Centre of IEI is
organizing National Conventions, Seminars, workshops, and Round Table
Conferences etc., to disseminate and updating of engineering and
technological knowledge among its members, through Technical Activities.
There are many applications in signal processing where the discrete signals
are sparse in some domain such as time, frequency or space i.e. most of the
samples are zero. Compressive Sensing (CS) is the recent trend of acquiring
signals far below the Nyquist rate. It follows the principle of “Measure what
should be measured” rather than “Measure what can be measured”. It finds
potential applicability in the areas where the data is huge and acquisition is
very slow-as in seismic data, medical imaging, remote sensing and
communication networks. Image processing does typically involve filtering
or enhancing an image using various types of functions in addition to other
techniques to extract information from the images. Important examples are
medicine, video production, photography, remote sensing, and security
monitoring. These sources produce a very huge volume of digital image
data daily, more than could ever be examined manually. Efficient storing,
Processing and transmission of digital data remains a demand. Some of the
important applications of image processing in the field of science and
technology include computer vision, remote sensing, feature extraction,
face detection, forecasting, medical image processing, finger-print
detection, optical sorting, argument reality, microscope imaging.

OBJECTIVES OF THE SEMINAR:
The main objective of the Seminar is to have a common platform for the
platform for the experts to discuss and deliberate on the issues related to
the above topics. Recommendations of the above Seminar will be
circulated to the concerned implementing agencies.
The concerned engineers and scientists and the building engineers will be
able to gain knowledge on various aspects of Electronics Industry in general
and new economic options available for practical implementation at
various levels.
METHODLOGY:
The Seminar is proposed to be organized in five technical sessions besides
Inaugural and Valedictory Functions. The Sessions will be devoted on the
theme topics for delivering Invited Talks by experts, interaction of
