CHAPTER 1:
INTRODUCTION AND CONTEXT OF
THE INTERNSHIP REPORT
My name is H’Nion-Nie. I was born in Dak Lak province. I have learnt English for nine
years. I found English very interesting, so I spent a lot of time learning English every day. At
that time, I recognized that English plays a crucial role in our present lives, especially in the
period of global integration in which a high number of investors came to Vietnam. As a result,
I tried my best to follow may own path, that is becoming an English teacher. I had many
difficulties when studying at IUH (Industrial University at Ho Chi Minh City). Before, I was
not used to learning in a new environment. And then, I was seeking help from people around
me to improve my English better. Up to now, I am a senior. I am more confident with my
English. During four years studying English at IUH, I have had to learn 4 skills: Listening,
Speaking, Reading, Writing, and British- American Culture, Translation, English
Morphology, Teaching Methodology, Phonetic and Phonemic English. I am now learning
Thesis writing and Internship report. Besides, I am an internship at Tan Van Foreign
Language Center. As a teacher, I will make every effort to convey the best culture and
knowledge to new generation in order to construct our country well.
My teammates have a very kind heart and a positive outlook. They worked hard and
communicate well within our group mates to help everyone to reach their goal qualitatively.
Sometimes, they gave me a lot of beneficial advice and supports enthusiastically to

great team. We also keep contact with each other and have a group chat on Zalo in which I
can get any information related to my internship conveniently with group members’ devoted
sharing.

home or international extracurricular trips to Thao Cam Vien, Dam Sen, Suoi Tien… Of
course, they will receive the spiritual presents such as candies, cakes, toys, etc, if they win in
some activities. These activities are very enjoyable, I am also fortunate to have had the same
experience. It was an activity at Binh Chieu Kindergarten. I was assigned by the center with
6 other co-worker to organize emulation activities and have fun with students here. The
activity started at 3:00 pm, but we were there at 2:00 pm to set up the game area. I was
assigned to arrange tables and chairs and had groups of students take their seats. Then will
manage game activities. That activity taught about the universe. So my task is to work with
them to make rockets by reusing used straws to both save the environment and also create a
rocket for the students to play. I found that activity fun and meaningful. After the activity,
we cleaned up and arranged the specials. I learned how to organize extracurricular activities
for children, and I also learned how to create games for children from tools us no longer use.
CHAPTER 4: REFLECTION
I feel very fortunate when working at Tan Van Foreign Language Center. A professional
and friendly environment helps me enhance a lot of motivation to work hard every day. In
fact, I find that I am a better version of mine through some detailed reflection as follows:
TEACHING METHOD
During the internship time, the center helps me know how to apply theory learnt from
university to real teaching effectively as well as handle a lot of different situations well.
Firstly, when beginning the lesson, it is necessary to create an exciting atmosphere via warm-
up activities such as singing, dancing, or playing game which make students feel interested in
the lesson and help teachers review last lesson, especially creating a suitable atmosphere for
learning and teaching activities. Secondly, game is considered an effective method in
teaching. Because it fosters students’ spirit to gain the knowledge easily. Through foreign
teachers, I also knew some interesting games and how to do it. Finally, I had known the way
to create motivation inspiration and congratulations to students. For some students who cannot
catch up with their friends, I should try my best to help them develop their strengths and
congratulate them regularly which support them to understand the lesson better and advance
their level to be equal with others. To sum up, through internship in this Center, I learnt many
helpful things about teaching method, and I am more confident to apply it in real class
effectively.
COMMUNICATING SKILLS
Because of working with many foreign teachers who came from a lot of different countries,
I have a chance to improve my communicating skills better. Firstly, I can enhance my English
skills effectively especially speaking skill, pronunciation, and intonation. In addition, I gain a
lot of vocabularies and know how to use them correctly and flexibly in the context. As a
result, my presentation skill is more and more improved, and I feel more confident to speaking
English in publish places.
GENERAL
PERSONALITY
BEHAVIOR
The internship has me improve my behavior better and more positively. I know the way to
create the positive relationship among the students in class as well as the teachers in the
center. Besides, I take responsibility for myself. I become more active to do everything related
to my job. I know how to build the plan, goal or ideal which I always try my best to
implement. In addition, in any challenge situation, I always smile and retain the spirit to
overcome in the best way.
SOFT SKILLS
The personal development, which I feel it improve the best, is soft skills. Firstly, my
listening skill is becoming a higher level. I can listen to many people and show my sympathy
to them. Sometimes, I put myself into their situation and give them some advice. Secondly, by
communicating with the foreign teachers, I have a chance to improve my communicating
skills. I learn more about vocabulary, pronunciation, innovation, slang, or idioms. I know how
to use the word in correct context and become more confident in speaking skill. Besides,
through arrange the time to build lesson plan, teaching aids before class, I enhance my time
management better. I can arrange the schedule to do everything. In addition, I am familiar
with working in pressure which helps me complete the deadline timely.
CHAPTER 5: CONCLUSION
The internship gave me many valuable experiences which is crucial for directing my
future job before graduate. I was provided to how to handle many suddenly different
situations in teaching effectively and the way to promote and encourage students to be
interested in the lesson. Besides, the internship provided me with some productive ways to
warm up and organize activities by coordinating other teachers. The internship creates many
opportunities for me to practice what I have learned from university regularly and learnt a lot
of things that is useful to apply in my future job. I realize that it is essential for a good teacher
to prepare a detailed lesson plan, enough teaching aids, and some interesting games before
every lesson. For me, this internship is considered as a significant event and a piece of my
future success.
2. RECOMMENDATIONS OR SUGGESTIONS
I am quite pleased with my internship result. Thanks to Tan Van Foreign Language
Center, I am lucky to get the useful things for my career in the future. In my opinion, I put
forward some suggestions to help the center become more effectively and perfectly.
The center should arrange flexible schedule which is not far from the teachers’ house to
kindergarten. It also should deliver the schedule early for the teachers to prepare the lesson
plan better aiming to enhance the quality of the lesson.
Besides, it is very useful for the center to supply all necessary teaching aids to the teacher
instead of preparing themselves which helps the teacher spends more time focusing on the
lesson.
Also, the center should have some new kind of teaching aids so that teachers can organize a
variety of games.
In addition, before replacing the class by other teacher, the center should guide proper
academic program according to old teacher by supplying information of old teacher such as
Zalo or Messenger by which new teacher can communicate and exchange important items
related to the class as well as appropriate program or method which help new teachers
approach to new class easily. In short, Tan Van Foreign Language Center provides me a lot of
positive Knowledge. Those suggestions are just my opinion. I hope the center will develop
more and more successfully.
