Title: The Power of Friendship

Narrator: One day in school, Sarah, a kind girl and a friend to everyone met Max, a shy and lonely boy. No one
wants him to be their friend as for them Max is a weirdo and a nerd because of his big glasses.

Sarah: Hi, what is your name? I am Sarah.

Max: Hi, Sarah. I am Max.

Sarah: Hi Max! Why are you looking so sad and upset?

Max: Yes because no one wants to be my friend.

Sarah. Don’t you worry about that Max because you have me as your friend now.

Max: Oh, really? But everyone thinks that I am ugly maybe because of my big glasses.

Sarah: It’s okay Max. We do not judge our friends by the way they look, do we?

Max: Yes, you are right Sarah. I wish everyone is like you, kind and friendly. Thank you for being my friend.

Sarah: Oh you are very welcome Max. Do not be sad now because you already have a friend and that is me.

Narrator: Sarah and Max became the best of friends. They would play together, share their toys and always had
each other's back. But one day, Max got into trouble with some bullies who were picking on him.

Jerry: Hey, ugly Max! What are you doing here? Go away!

Allan: You don't have any friends! You are such a loser Max!

Narrator: Suddenly, Sarah came up and defended Max from the two bullies.

Sarah: Leave him alone! He's my friend.

Jerry: Oh, so Sarah is your superhero now huh, ugly Max?

Allan: Yes, what is wrong with you Sarah? Why did you befriend this loser?

Sarah: You two please stop. Max is a good friend. You do not know that because you are judging him because of his
physical appearance. Just because he has big eye glasses doesn’t mean he is bad.

Narrator: The bullies were surprised to see Sarah stood up for Max. They realized that they were wrong and they
both apologized to Max.

Jerry: I am sorry, Max. I promise I will be your friend from now on.

Allan: Yes, me too, Max. I am really sorry for what I said.

Max: It’s okay now. Just promise me that whatever happens, we will stay friends forever?

Jerry and Allan: Yes, we promise to be your friends forever.

Max: Thank you, Jerry and Allan. Thanks to you too, Sarah. I'm so lucky to have you as my friend. Otherwise, I
would not have been friends with Jerry and Allan.

Sarah: Don't worry, Max. That's what friends are for.
