What I Have Learned

Reflection:

1. Based on the lesson, what type of recreational activities did you do with your family during your free
time? Is it important to spend your leisure time with them?

As someone who values family relationships, I believe that spending leisure time with family is
crucial for building strong connections, creating lasting memories, and developing a sense of
togetherness. Engaging in recreational activities together can provide opportunities for communication,
teamwork, and problem-solving, which can further strengthen family bonds. Some of the recreational
activities that my family and I enjoy doing together include biking, swimming, playing sports, board
games, movie nights, and cooking together. Finding activities that everyone in the family can enjoy is key,
and we try to make time for these activities on a regular basis to stay connected and have fun together.

What I Can Do
1. List down as many recreational activities you can do at home during this pandemic. Plan out how the
whole family can participate in this activity/ies.

As a family member, here are some recreational activities that my family and I can do at home
during this pandemic:

Movie Nights - We can take turns choosing a movie and make some snacks to enjoy while watching it
together.
Board Games - There are many fun and exciting board games that we can play as a family such as
Monopoly, Scrabble, and Chess.
Cooking/Baking - We can all participate in preparing a meal or baking some desserts together. This is not
only fun but also a great opportunity to learn new skills in the kitchen.
Indoor Exercises - There are many workout routines that we can do at home such as yoga, Pilates, or
even a simple cardio workout.
Art and Crafts - We can get creative and make some art and crafts together. This can be a fun way to
express ourselves and create something beautiful.

By planning out these activities, we can ensure that everyone in the family is engaged and having
fun while staying safe at home during the pandemic.

What Is It?
Water or aqua provides environments that are beneficial to you. An array of recreational activities can be
done in rivers, beaches, swimming pools, and the like. These activities are a good source of relaxation,
enjoyment, and exercise. What recreational environments do you have in your community? Feel free to
briefly share your most unforgettable experiences in these environments long before the community
quarantine in your place started, in the space provided below.

As a student and someone who values the benefits of being active and spending time outdoors, I
believe that water-based recreational activities are a great way to relax, have fun, and get some exercise.
In my community, we are fortunate to have access to a few different water-based recreational
environments such as a community swimming pool and a nearby beach. One of my most unforgettable
experiences in these environments was when my family and I went on a beach vacation a few years ago.
We spent our days swimming in the ocean, playing, and lounging in the sun. It was a great way to bond
with each other and take a break from our busy lives. Additionally, I have fond memories of spending
summer afternoons at the community beach with my friends, swimming, and playing games in the
water. I am looking forward to the day when we can safely return to these water-based recreational
environments and create new memories with my loved ones.

Activity 2. KUNG MAIBABALIK KO LANG

1. Think of the outdoor recreational activities you and your family did before the quarantine period.

Before the quarantine period, my family and I used to enjoy outdoor recreational activities such
as hiking, road trips, and swimming at the beach. We also loved to bike around the neighborhood and
explore different places in the province.
2. Describe how you and your family support and help each other in planning and realizing such an
activity. Did you find enjoyment in what you did? What lesson did you learn from this activity?

Planning and realizing these activities required a team effort. We would sit down and discuss
what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. Each family member had their own tasks to do, such
as preparing the snacks, packing the gear, and navigating the route. During the activity, we always made
sure to support and help each other, whether it's by lending a hand in setting up the tent or giving
encouragement during a difficult hike.

Activity 3. MY BUCKET LIST (The drawing is on the bond paper)

1. Think of one or more recreational activities that you dream of doing with your loved ones (family or
friends) when the pandemic is over.

2. Draw it in one (1) whole bond paper. Make your drawing colorful.

3. Write your reflection below your drawing.

REFLECTION:

As I reflect on my drawing of having a marshmallows campfire on the beach with my family, I

can't help but feel excited about the idea of finally doing this activity after the pandemic is over. Drawing
this also made me appreciate the importance of spending quality time with my loved ones, especially
during these challenging times.

I realized that even though we can't do these activities now, planning and dreaming about them
can give us something to look forward to and help us stay positive. It also made me appreciate the
beauty of nature and the simple pleasures in life, such as sitting around a campfire and roasting
marshmallows.

Overall, this drawing activity has helped me realize the value of family time and the joy that it
can bring. I am now more motivated to plan and prepare for future activities with my loved ones, making
the most out of our time together.

Activity 4. WORD LOOPING

What I Have Learned

Reflection:

1. Based on the lesson, how important are aquatic recreational facilities to

your family and the community as a whole?

As a student and a family member, I believe that aquatic recreational facilities are essential to
our family and community. Living near a body of water, such as a river or a beach, provides us with
various opportunities to engage in water-related activities, like swimming, kayaking, and fishing, among
others. These activities not only serve as a source of entertainment and relaxation but also promote
physical fitness and mental health. In addition to the benefits to our family, aquatic recreational facilities
also contribute to the community's economic and social well-being. These facilities attract tourists,
generating revenue for local businesses and creating employment opportunities for residents. Moreover,
they serve as venues for social interaction and community events, promoting camaraderie and a sense of
belonging among members of the community.

Overall, the availability of aquatic recreational facilities in our community plays a significant role
in enhancing the quality of life for our family and the community as a whole. It is crucial that we
continue to support and maintain these facilities for future generations to enjoy.

What I Can Do
1. Modify an aquatic activity you can do at home with your loved ones. Explain briefly how you are going
to do it.

As a family member, I suggest doing an "indoor beach day" activity where we can have a fun
aquatic experience at home. We can set up a small inflatable pool in our living room and fill it with water
and beach toys. We can also lay out beach towels and bring out some beach chairs to complete the
beach vibe. To make it more exciting, we can dress up in beachwear and even put on some sunscreen.
We can also play beach-themed music and have some refreshing drinks and snacks. As for the activities,
we can have a sandcastle-building competition or play beach volleyball using a balloon or a lightweight
beach ball. We can also play water games like water balloon toss or sponge relay race.

Overall, this activity will provide us with a fun and unique experience that we can enjoy together
as a family even when we can't go to an actual beach.

LESSON 3: Mountaineering (Hiking, Trekking, Camping, Orienteering)

Activity 1: #EXTREME TREKS: Find the correct answer by matching the provinces in Region X (Northern
Mindanao) with the names of the mountains.

1. Bukidnon – Mt. Kitanglad 2. Misamis Oriental – Mt. Hibok-Hibok 3. Camiguin – Mt. Malindang
4. Lanao del Norte – Mt. Sumagaya 5. Misamis Occidental – Mt. Inayawan
Activity 2. SIMPLE RECALL

1. Have you gone camping, whether in school, in church, or with family? Share your experience.

Yes, I have had the opportunity to go camping with my family, particularly on a nearby beach
where we could appreciate the beautiful scenery while enjoying the fresh air and outdoor activities. It's a
great way to escape the busy city life and spend quality time with loved ones. Without a doubt, I enjoyed
the camping experience. What stood out for me was the sense of freedom and independence that
comes with being away from technology and modern-day conveniences. We had to make a checklist of
all the essential gear and supplies required to make our stay comfortable and safe.

Overall, camping has given me a deeper appreciation for the beauty of nature and the
importance of preparation, teamwork, and environmental responsibility. It's an activity that I would love
to do again with my family and friends.

2. Did you find enjoyment in the activity? What lesson/s did you learn from this activity? Write your
observations below.
Yes, I found enjoyment in the activity. One of the main lessons I learned from camping is the
importance of preparation and planning. It's essential to make a checklist of all the necessary gear and
supplies, such as a tent, sleeping bags, food, water, and a first aid kit. Also, setting up camp and starting a
fire can be challenging but rewarding tasks that require patience and teamwork. I also learned to
appreciate nature and the environment more, and how important it is to respect and take care of it.
Overall, camping has taught me valuable skills and lessons that I can apply to other areas of my life.

Activity 3. CAMPING FOR FUN

Put up a tent on your lawn on a starry night. Allow the whole family to suggest activities and participate
in your organized camping. Suggested activities may include but are not limited to story-telling, eating
dinner together, stargazing, or making hand shadows. How would you evaluate this activity? Does it
support relaxation, enjoyment, and family bonding? How? Briefly discuss your answer below.

I imagined putting up a tent on my lawn on a starry night and allowing my whole family to
suggest activities and participate in an organized camping experience. We did activities like story-telling,
eating dinner together, stargazing, and making hand shadows. In my opinion, this activity supports
relaxation, enjoyment, and family bonding. It was a great way to disconnect from technology and spend
quality time together. We were able to share stories, laugh, and have fun while also learning new things
about each other. Stargazing was a particularly peaceful and calming experience that helped us unwind
from the stress of daily life.

Overall, this activity was a success and helped us strengthen our family bond. It's a great way to
create lasting memories and I would definitely recommend it to others.

What I Have Learned?

Reflection:

Write a reflection on the importance of your participation in outdoor recreational activities to yourself
and to your family. How is doing an outdoor recreational activity with your loved ones contribute to
significant changes to you as an individual?
As a student who loves outdoor recreational activities, I firmly believe that participating in these
activities is not only important to me but also to my family. Outdoor activities allow me to connect with
nature, breathe in fresh air, and engage in physical activity that helps me maintain a healthy lifestyle.
When I do outdoor activities with my family, it strengthens our bond and creates lasting memories. We
get to share experiences, have fun, and take a break from the stresses of our daily lives. It's also an
opportunity to disconnect from technology and social media and focus on being present in the moment.

Participating in outdoor activities with my loved ones has also brought significant changes to me
as an individual. It has helped me develop leadership skills, problem-solving skills, and teamwork skills.
Being outdoors has also taught me to appreciate nature more and the importance of preserving it for
future generations.

Overall, I believe that outdoor recreational activities contribute positively to my physical, mental,
and emotional well-being, as well as my relationship with my family. It's an opportunity to learn, grow,
