    This service bulletin from MCFE BV provides information about replacing the solenoid valve on PKB valves for certain models of GP/DP40N-55N machines. The old round solenoid (91K46-08200) is being replaced with an updated square version (91K46-00070) which also requires replacing the internal solenoid valve. Instructions are provided for properly installing the new solenoid valve and ordering the required conversion cable (91K04-09600) to connect the new four wire solenoid. The complete PKB valve (91K46-30010) should also be replaced if it contains the old long relief valve version. Serial numbers of affected machines are

    Solenoid change PKB valve (Dry brake type)

    DESCRIPTION
    When ordering the PKB solenoid 91K46-08200 (round type) you will receive the updated version
    91K46-00070 (square type). This new solenoid also contains the new solenoid valve; therefore
    replacement of the old solenoid valve is necessary.
    The old version solenoid valve was pointing backwards. The new version solenoid is pointing to
    the front of the machine. You need to turn the new solenoid valve 180 degree, see pictures
    The old version solenoid has 2 wires, the new version solenoid has 4 wires therefore it is needed
    to order a conversion cable to connect the new solenoid in the correct way, the part number for
    the wires harness is: 91K04-09600 This cable will be fitted between main harness and new
    solenoid. If complete PKB valve is replaced, also it is necessary to order the wire harness (91k04-
    09600)

    NOTE
    In case the old PKB valve (91K46-30010) is fitted, please replace complete PKB valve, you also
    need to order the wire harness (91K04-09600): How to recognize the old PKB valve (91K46-
    30010). Length relief valve, 91K46-30010 has a long relief valve, 91K46-40010 (Ref No.2)
    has a short relief valve.
