Use of forklift on site Injury to workers, property damage • Speed limit to be adhered to
• All safety devices to be working
• All loads to be secured
• Only palletized loads to be shifted with the fork lift. Do not pace
items directly on the fork arms. They are liable to slide off. Use
pallets at all times.
Refueling Personal injury, property damage due to fire Compressed natural gas (CNG) is a highly volatile explosive. Fill gas
and/or explosion bottles in a well ventilated area well clear of a naked flame or source of
ignition. Do not smoke while filling gas bottles. Gas bottles must be
filled only by those trained and authorized to do so.
Take the following steps in the order below when filling CNG bottles.
1. Turn off engine
2. Open fill hose box and remove fill hose
3. Ensure isolating valve on fill station is in ON position
4. Remove dust cap from vehicle fill point
5. Connect hose fill point to vehicle
6. Turn filling valve to FILL position
7. When flow stops turn valve to VENT position
8. After venting turn fill valve to OFF position
9. Disconnect hose from vehicle
10. Replace dust cap on vehicle
11. Ensure isolating valve is in OFF position
12. Check for leaks - look, listen and smell.
