JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performing electrical maintenance functions in accordance with those noted under the PMS planned
maintenance program which include:
Treat safety and environmental compliance as a top priority. .
Reporting any unsafe acts or failure to comply with regulations and/or company procedures
to the Master.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer.
Maintaining all electric generators, electric motors, switchboards and switchgears.
Assisting responsible officers in maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment, including
the Radio Room or GMDSS installation.
Maintaining distribution cables and associated equipment.
Controlling and carrying out a weekly test of all battery systems on board.
Carrying out function tests and maintenance of the automation.
Maintaining the fire detecting plant and internal communication equipment.
Carrying out control maintenance and logging for impressed current system.
Maintaining and controlling all elevators and cranes.
Maintaining navigation equipment in conjunction with navigation officers.
Carrying out a weekly inspection and test of emergency generator and switchboard.
Testing the fire alarm and central alarm once / week (Saturday).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of any electrical systems onboard as directed by the
chief electrician.
Familiar with safety routines and ensure that the necessary safeguards are in place before any
maintenance/ repair work commences.
Perform battery check, safety alarms of equipment, testing of lifeboat and rescue boat, testing of
emergency generator and emergency compressor.
Assist in electrical troubleshooting and also in monitoring and repairing of reefer container.
Troubleshoot minor electrical problems using electrical testing equipment.
Rewiring of main engine and auxiliary engines sensors.

Termination and installation of power cables, control cables, electrical motors and instruments/
sensors during power plant construction.
Assist in testing and commissioning of the Biomass Power Plant.

Start or stop of generator, turbine and other equipment as necessary.

Checking of all grain handling equipment to make sure it's in good condition.
Testing of dryer to make sure all electrical and gas components works correctly.
Checking of grain elevators, lubricating of bearings, checking of belts for tightness and wear.
Checking and repairing of pneumatic and electrical components of the facility.
Conduct preventive maintenance and monitoring the overall operation of the corn dryer.
Manage and monitor tasks of other corn dryer staff.
