Vietnam;
We all know that natural disasters happen all over the world, and they can be utterly
devastating for people’s lives and the environments we live in. Flood is one of the most
dangerous disasters in the world. It’s the fact that every flood causes damage not only on
property but also on people.
If you want to know more, let go into the details wwith me
G: here we have 4 main parts respectively …………
Giang: what are floods? Floods are the phenomenon that happen in case an unusually large
amount of water accumulates in an area. Vietnam located at Southeast Asia is affected severely
by floods, especially in the middle of Viet Nam. Every year, there are about 10-15 floods coming
into Viet Nam.
Như:There are lots of causes of floods. Firstly, because of storms. Secondly, heavy rain with
average annual rainfall from 1500-2000 mm led to floods.Thirdly, tides create floods in lots of
regions which have poor drainage systems. High tide flooding, which increasingly common due
to decades of sea level rise and driven, in part, by climate change. It occurs when tides reach
anywhere from 1.75 to 2 feet above the daily average high tide and start spilling onto streets or
bubbling up from storm drains.

-Floods have bad impacts on human and nature. About human, people's lives are
severely damaged causing great damage to people and property. According to statistics, many
families even suffered from inundation as high level of water flew into their houses
Như: It also has little effect on nature. Floods bring about waste and garbage from ponds and
lakes, causing a direct risk of pollution to people’s living water sources. This exposes people to
many diseases. There are other risk factors for flooding that we have to mention such as steep-
sided channels cause fast surface run-off, the lack of vegetation and woodland break the flow of
water
