Here are the steps to find the mode of a data set: 1. List all the values in the data set. 2. Identify the value(s) that occur most frequently. If no value occurs more than once, the data set has no mode. 3. The value(s) that occur most frequently is/are the mode(s) of the data set. If two or more values occur with equal frequency and this frequency is higher than any other value, then the data set has multiple modes. So for the data sets given: a) 27, 24, 27, 19, 27, 18 Mode is 27 (occurs 3 times, more than any other value)
