    Islamic Values Education Lesson Plan Grade 2

    I. Objective:
    a. Identify the supplication when seeing good and bad things.
    b. Recite the supplication when seeing good and bad things.
    c. Show fear of Allah and trust in ALLAH.

    II. Subject Matter:


    Learning Competency: Show trust in ALLAH by reciting the following
    supplication when seeing good and bad things.. pg.45
    Learner’s Book: Islamic Values 2 pg. 61-63
    Quarter : 2nd
    Week : 5
    Day : 2
    Materials : pictures, audio visual, manila paper, pens
    Value Focus : Fear of ALLAH and Trust in ALLAH

    III. Lesson Proper /Procedure


    REVIEW
    What is the supplication when travelling such as riding and upon getting off a
    vehicle?

    MOTIVATION
    The teacher will show a picture good and bad thing.

    The teacher will ask:


    What have you observed in the picture?
    What good thing have you seen?
    What bad thing have you seen?
    Do you recite dua when you see something good or bad?
    What supplication do you recite when you see something good or
    bad?
    ACTIVITIES
    Activity 1 The teacher will let the learners listen to an audio of the dua with the
    correct tajwid.

    Activity 2 “Gallery walk”

    The teacher will group the learner into four. The teacher will give
    each group two different pictures and two supplications for seeing good
    and bad thing The learners will identify what is good and bad thing in
    the given picture and they will identify the proper supplication to recite
    in each picture given.

    ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION

    What is the supplication when seeing good and bad things?

    Supplication when seeing good thing:

    Sub’hānallāĥ!

    Supplication when seeing good thing:

    A’ûūḋubillaĥi Minas- Shayṫānirrajīm

    When you say “Sub’hānallāĥ! You acknowledge that he is perfect.


    Above anything in creation, and that everything that comes from him
    perfect.
    When you recite “A’ûūḋubillaĥi Minas- Shayṫānirrajīm” you seek
    refuge in ALLAH from satan and evil.

    ABSTRACTION/GENERALIZATION
    Why is it important to know the supplication when seeing good and bad
    things?

    What are the benefits if we do the supplication when seeing good and bad things?

    APPLICATION

    Activity 1

    The teacher will let the learners recite the supplication when seeing good and
    bad things by row.

    Supplication when seeing good thing:


    Sub’hānallāĥ!
    Supplication when seeing good thing:
    A’ûūḋubillaĥi Minas- Shayṫānirrajīm
    IV. FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION

    Identify the supplication when seeing good and bad things by using the
    dua in each situation. Choose from the two dua in the box. Write your answer on the
    space provided.
