Department: oil
Group: D
Procedure:
1. Rinse the given pipette and beaker with small amount of tap water.
2. Weight the empty beaker and record the mass.
3. Use the empty clean and dry beaker and then use the pipet to add a volume of
water (ml), students can take the variables shown table below, and record the
mass of the water in the scale.
4. Measure the temperature of the water at room conditions and record it.
5. notes the density of water at room temperature from table (Density of Liquid
Water From 0°C to 100°C).
6. Repeat step-3 for all students group to fined mass and volume measurements.
7. Complete all calculations.
8. Complete all information at table below.
9. sketch graphic data between densities and volumes that calibrated and
calculated.
Analytical laboratory
(Calibration Table)
Calculations:
Volume = 3 ml
beaker mass = 42.489 g
beaker mass+water mass = 45.460 g
water mass = 2.971 g
density = 0.998 g/ml at temp 18 °c
= 2.971/0.998
= 2.976 ml
