Application
Seal Swell Data – Group II Base Oil
HiTEC® 008 seal swell agent is an adipate ester which is specifically suited
to industrial and automotive lubricants formulated with Group I, II, III No Seal Swell Using 3%
or IV base oils. In addition HiTEC® 008 will lower pour points and aid the Additive HiTEC® 008
solubility of more polar additives.

Recommended Dosage Typical Characteristics


HiTEC® 008 seal swell agent is recommended at dosages of Density, lbs/gal. 7.63
1.0% wt. to 15% wt. in lubricants depending on base oils and Viscosity @ 100°C, cSt 3.5
applications. Required treat rates may be influenced by a number of Pour Point, °C -54 max.
factors, including: Flash Point, (COC), °C 200 min.
