2.3 Preparations
2.3.1 Site Preparation
Before starting any rebuilding work on the machine:
• Make sure that the machine is available and that the rebuilding work can
be completed without interruption.
• Establish an adequate safe working area around the machine. Make sure
that no items stand in the installation area.
If any part of the rebuilding kit is not present, create a claim notification in
SAP/R3 using transaction code IW51 (Create Service Notification).
If any damage to the crate contents has occurred during transportation,
create a discrepancy notification in SAP/R3 using the same transaction code,
TechPub_2614345_0110 - 01_RM3093011_01en.fm
IW51.
Take photographs of the damage and enclose the photographs with the
discrepancy notification.

If indicated in the Technical Bulletin, the Operation Manual for the machine
must be replaced with the latest released version which includes the new
instructions related to this rebuilding kit.
If the new manual is available, make sure that old manual is discarded. If the
latest released version of the Operation Manual is not available:
• use the OM pages located in UP-Manual to update the existing OM
• if possible, remove and discard OM pages containing obsolete
procedures. If pages containing obsolete procedures can not be removed,
use a red permanent pen to cross out the procedure and clearly mark the
pages with the words ‘No longer valid’
• inform the person responsible that the latest released version of the
Operation Manual must be ordered for the machine.
