(Balances)
The following procedure should be adopted and data recorded as appropriate.
- Use a fresh line for each item, use an ink colour other than red to record data. - Perform the weight verification before the use of balances. - When the balance is not in use, leave it at standby mode. Do not unplug the balances. - Newly plugged/turned on balance should be warmed up by at least 30 minutes before use. - Perform internal balance calibration if the unit is newly installed or turned on. - Zero/tare the balance before the measurements. - Place the calibrated weight on the pan - allow the balance to stabilize and record the weight. - Repeat using a second calibration weight - of different mass.
