1. Seven-fifth of a number is 10 more than the number. Find the number.

3. If x5y7 is a four digit number exactly divisible by 3 then what is the least value of x+y?

4. Two sticks each of length 5cm are crossing each other such that they bisect each other. Name the

21. A local bus is carrying 40 passengers. Some have bought ₹2.50 ticket and remaining have bought
₹ 5 ticket. If the total money received from the passengers is ₹150, find how many people have
bought ₹2.50 ticket and how many have bought ₹ 5 ticket?

22. Figure (4) shows the position of sun, earth and


moon during solar eclipse, when moon comes
in between the earth and the sun.
The distance between the Sun and the Earth is

28. (i) Aditya was asked by his teacher to subtract 5 from a number and to divide the result by 15.
However, he subtracted 15 from that number and divided the result by 5 and obtained 65.
