I Position Summary

a) Achieve distributor and brand wise sales targets in the assigned territory.

b) Increase coverage by identifying uncovered potential outlets.

c) Ensure implementation of systems/reports/initiatives at distributors.

d) Ascertain that quality of distributor resources & assets are in line with the parameters set by the
company.

III Fields of Responsibility

 Breaking-up SKU wise targets & trade offers to the distributors (or salesmen in metro towns) on
monthly/quarterly and yearly basis.
 Close monitoring of plans and providing quick feedback to ZSM/RSM.
 Maintaining cordial relationships with trade and distributors. Should be well recognized, by key
wholesalers and retailers of the territory, due to regular visits and positive attitude.
 Having absolute geographical knowledge about the territory, outlets and potential for further
expansion. Should be able to work with ZSM in developing and consolidating the business on
continuous basis.
 Preparing routes and section builder for all the towns/sections/routes in the territory.
 Monitoring and motivating FO’s on continuous basis. Must ensure that FO performance is in line
with the business requirements.
 Ascertaining range availability and merchandising, through distributor/Order Booker, as per
company’s standard.

 Supervising all the distributor operations and ensuring that systems are implemented in line with the
company’s requirement. This includes distributor warehouse and meeting warehousing standards
and required stock reserves.
 Verifying distributor claims, with high standards of personal involvement and integrity, and
submitting the same within the timelines.
 Keeping a vigilant check on product quality complaints and market damage/expiry stocks. All such
cases have to be reported immediately to next level in writing by marking a copy to RSM.
 Ensuring that all the activities/trade offers are rolled out and communicated to trade as per plan and
distributors/Order Booker/trade have no ambiguity on modalities.
 Preparing own itinerary and getting it approved from ZSM on monthly basis. TSE should, preferably,
visit each distributor of his territory every month, in case of multiple touring towns.
