GAME
The lesson finishes with
a game which students
play in two teams.
Each team listens to
some clues about an
object and must guess
what it is.

The fewer clues the

team needs to guess the
object, the more points
they receive (from 5
points if they know the
answer after the first
clue to 1 point if they
need all five clues).

Game 2
Comparatives Chain Game

The aim of the game is to

make as many ‘comparative
chains’ as possible. To make
a chain, students must make
a comparative sentence
starting with the last noun of
the previous sentence.
for example, if the first
sentence is ‘Elephants are
bigger than cats.’, then the
next sentence must start with
‘Cats‘ (e.g. ‘Cat’s are
smarter than pigs.’)

I will give each team 2 or 3

minutes to make as many
comparative chains as possible,
and then change the topic (e.g.
food or places or things )
