STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
NAME - Yashdeep Kaur

COURSE - Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Management - Human Resources
COLLEGE - Lambton College , Mississauga
I take this opportunity to describe my educational background and career objectives that
motivated me to choose the study program "Post-Graduate certificate in Business
Management - Human Resources being offered at Lambton College, Mississuaga ,Ontario.
My academic career has proceeded in the best possible way so far.

1 . I passed out my Grade 10 from CBSE Board , Delhi with 10.0 CGPA in the year 2015.
2. I completed my Grade 12 in Non-Medical stream from CBSE Board , Delhi with 89.57% in
the year 2017.
3. After completing my 12 standard , I decided to pursue "Bachelor of Arts " .
I decided to do post-graduation in Human Resources - Business Management because it is
a fast-growing discipline , very dynamic and creativity based field which will groom my
personality by focussing on communicative skills. For applying to international educational
institutions, I took IELTS academic test on 8 August,2020 and scored overall 7.5 bands with
8.5 bands in Reading , 7.0 in Writing , 7.5 in Speaking and 7.5 in Listening.
Reasons to choose Canada

International education helps to gain the knowledge of world cultures and gives an
opportunity to meet different kinds of people which helps in widening one's horizon.
After careful and thorough research, I have chosen Canada as my study destination
because of its quality of education and high reputation.The degrees received from Canadian
institutions act as a mark of trust and excellence. Moreover, it is also considered to be
relatively peaceful and safe country. In addition to this, Canada has high standard of living
and Canadians value their natural environment. The weather of the country is pleasant and it
will be a rewarding experience for me to study in Canada.
Reasons to choose this program

I was initially attracted to this field in my graduation. While studying for my Bachelor's
degree, I opted for Certificate Course in Communicative English which focussed on
enhancing my communicative skills and also few aspects of management such as team
building and reasoning as well as analytical skills. After that, with each passing day my
interest in management and human resources increased because it is a unique process and
it deals with group activities .It is integrative in nature because it meshes different resources
in a coordinated manner. Management is concerned with both efficiency and effectiveness.
At the macro-level , the society as a whole is beneficiary of maganement . It makes possible
how to utilise the resources available locally , procure or mobilise what is not locally
available , create employment , provide goods and services for necessities and betterment
of standards create competition and also solve many social problems through corporate
social responsibility.My intended study program is of two years in duration and comprised of
4 semesters .I will develop knowledge and skills in management , leadership and decision
making, interpersonal and organisational behaviour.I have the opportunity to participate in
co-operative education which will provide me real world understanding of the business
world and the human resources .When I will complete my studies and have the knowledge
and practical skills for wide variety of executive and managerial level jobs.The program
curriculum is made of sturdy units like computer applications for business, professional
communications, talent acquisition ,workforce management ,organisational behaviour
accounting and finance, human resource planning and labour relations practicum.

Lambton college is a key player in achieving my goals.The college has well earned
reputation for meeting the needs of the students both academically and professionally.The
mission of the college is to offer competitive and internationally branded program of studies
to the student across the globe .The staff of the college emphasize on practical skills and
use a blend of lectures case study and group work on real projects in business as well as
human resources community .I am hopeful that through the ambience ,variegated program
structure and innovative teaching methods of the institution I will be able to consolidate my
learning .Moreover, the global exposure and realistic experience in this institution will help
me to groom my personality. In conclusion , Lambton college offers world class education
and well-designed program according to the need of the hour.
My future plans
After successfully completing my program , I will possess specialised and focus knowledge
of my field.I will come back to my country and will have opportunity to implement the skills
learnt from a developed country with cutting edge technology in India where human
resources field is still emerging and has a lot of potential .The curriculum of college will
shape me for better future prospects .The right balance of theoretical and practical
knowledge provided by the program would help me show a broad profile to my potential
employers.I look forward to be a part of such an outstanding system to mould my career in a
progressive direction. And I humbly request Canadian High Commission to please consider
my student visa application and give me a chance to pursue my post-graduate diploma from
Lambton College ,Mississauga ,Ontario.
