Course Description
This course introduces students to various aspects of educational psychology and their
importance to classroom instruction. The following major topics will be discussed: theories of
human growth and development; learning theories and their relationship to learning in school;
and motivation and factors that motivate learning. Other relevant issues such as addressing
the variations of learners, socio-cultural and religious perspectives on teaching and learning
as well as managing the classroom will also be discussed.
