directly from the taskbar.
Windows 11 removed support for 32-bit x86 and 32-bit ARM CPUs and devices that use BIOS firmware.
Windows 11 has received a mostly positive reception. Windows 11 is the second most popular Windows
version in use, with its predecessor Windows 10 at 2.5 times the market share. Windows 11 has an
estimated 19.75% share of all PCs (the rest being other Windows editions and other operating systems
such as macOS and Linux), and an estimated 7.8% share of all devices (including mobile, tablet and
console)[20] are running Windows 11.
To install or upgrade to Windows 11, devices must meet the following minimum system requirements:
Processors/CPUs (Central Processing Units): 1 Ghz or faster with 2 or more cores and appearing on our
list of approved CPUs. The processor in your PC will be a main determining factor for running Windows
11. The clock speed (the 1 Ghz or faster requirement) and number of cores (2 or more) are inherent to
the processor design as it was manufactured and are not considered upgradable components.
RAM: 4 GB. If your PC has less than 4GB of memory, there are sometimes options for upgrading to get
additional RAM. You may want to consult your PC manufacturer’s website or with a retailer to see if
there are easy and affordable options to meet the minimum requirements for Windows 11.
Storage: 64 GB or larger storage device. If your PC does not have a large enough storage drive, there are
sometimes options for upgrading the drive. You may want to consult your PC manufacturer’s website or
with a retailer to see if there are easy and affordable options to meet the minimum requirements for
Windows 11.
System Firmware: UEFI (for Unified Extensible Firmware Interface, a modern version of the PC BIOS) and
Secure Boot capable. If your device does not meet the minimum requirements because it is not Secure
Boot capable, you may want to read this article to see if there are steps you can take to enable this.
Secure Boot can only be enabled with UEFI and this article helps you understand potential options to
change settings to make this possible.
TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0. If your device does not meet the minimum
requirements because of TPM, you may want to read this article to see if there are steps you can take to
remediate this.
Graphics Card: Compatible with DirectX 12 or later with WDDM 2.0 driver.
Display: High definition (720p) display that is greater than 9” diagonally, 8 bits per color channel. If your
screen size is less than 9”, the intended user interface of Windows may not be fully visible.
The Structured Query Language (SQL) is the most popular query language used by major
relational2database management systems such as MySQL, ORACLE, SQL Server, etc2
Microsoft SQL Server is a proprietary relational database management system developed by Microsoft.
As a database server, it is a software product with the primary function of storing and retrieving data as
requested by other software applications—which may run either on the same computer or on another
computer across a network (including the Internet). Microsoft markets at least a dozen different editions
of Microsoft SQL Server, aimed at different audiences and for workloads ranging from small single-
machine applications to large Internet-facing applications with many concurrent users.
SQL Server 2010 also includes support for structured and semi-structured data, including digital media
formats for pictures, audio, video and other multimedia data. In current versions, such multimedia data
can be stored as BLOBs (binary large objects), but they are generic bitstreams. Intrinsic awareness of
multimedia data will allow specialized functions to be performed on them. SQL Server includes better
compression features, which also helps in improving scalability. It enhanced the indexing algorithms and
introduced the notion of filtered indexes.
Data storage is a database, which is a collection of tables with typed columns. SQL Server supports
different data types, including primitive types such as Integer, Float, Decimal, Char (including character
strings), Varchar (variable length character strings), binary (for unstructured blobs of data), Text (for
textual data) among others.
A SQL Server database can contain a maximum of 231 objects, and can span multiple OS-level files with
a maximum file size of 260 bytes (1 exabyte).
SQL Server allows multiple clients to use the same database concurrently. As such, it needs to control
concurrent access to shared data, to ensure data integrity—when multiple clients update the same data,
or clients attempt to read data that is in the process of being changed by another client.
The main mode of retrieving data from a SQL Server database is querying for it.
MS SQL Server is a relational database management system (RDBMS) developed by Microsoft. This
product is built for the basic function of storing retrieving data as required by other applications. It can
be run either on the same computer or on another across a network.3
SQL Server Management Studio is a workstation component\client tool that will be installed if we select
workstation component in installation steps. This allows you to connect to and manage your SQL Server
from a graphical interface instead of having to use the command line. In order to connect to a remote
instance of an SQL Server, you will need this or similar software. It is used by Administrators,
Developers, Testers, etc. 3
A login is a simple credential for accessing SQL Server. 3Logins based on Windows credentials allow you
to log in to SQL Server using a Windows username and password. If you need to create your own
credentials (username and password,) you can create a login specific to SQL Server.3
Peachtree is a multi-featured accounting and bookkeeping program that allows you to create invoices,
statements, pay your bills, write checks, track inventory, manage your payroll, and perform other
accounting and business-related services.
Peachtree allows you to easily access all of the available commands that you use to create and edit your
company‟s data file through the Menu Bar. 3
When you want to set up a company in Peachtree, you can use the “New Company” wizard to quickly
and easily create your new business and enter the information into Peachtree. You can start the “New
Company” wizard by selecting “File| New Company…” from the Menu Bar. The “New Company”wizard
displays different windows into which you will input your company‟s information before using
Peachtree. The information collected during this process includes your basic company information, what
accounts you will need to have in your company‟s chart of accounts, your accounting method, the
posting method used for transactions, your default accounting periods, and your company file‟s default
values. 4
In all versions of Peachtree, you also have a Menu Bar at the top of the Peachtree application window.
You can use the commands found within the Menu Bar to perform any task within Peachtree. This tool
has been very consistent in its appearance and function from version to version and continues to be just
as reliable in Peachtree 2012. This makes using the program easier for upgrading users, as you can often
find the commands that you already know how to use within their same locations within the Menu Bar,
regardless of the version of Peachtree that you are using. This also allows upgrading users to get used to
changes made to the visual interface gradually, as they use the program. 4
AutoCAD is a software application for computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting. The software supports
both 2D and 3D formats. AutoCAD supports a number of APIs for customization and automation.
Computer-Aided Design(CAD) or Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) can be defined as using
computer systems to assist in the creation, modification, analysis, or optimization of a design.
CAD software is used to increase the productivity of the designer, improve the quality of design, improve
communications through documentation, and create a database for manufacturing.CAD is an important
industrial art extensively used in many applications, including automotive, shipbuilding, and aerospace
industries, industrial and architectural design, prosthetics, and many more.
AutoCAD is used by AEC(Architecture, Engineer, and Construction) to generate and optimize 2D and 3D
designs. AutoCAD is a widely used software program that can help you draft construction
documentation, explore design ideas, visualize concepts through photorealistic renderings, and simulate
how a design performs in the real world. (Autodesk)
