    Early life of Jack Ma Yun


    Jack Ma was born at 10 Septemeber 1964 in Hang Zhou, Zhe
    Jiang, China. His occupations are an Entrepreneur, Teacher,
    Philanthropist, Business, and writer. At a young age, he studies
    English by conversing with tourists in a hotel. In his youth, Jack Ma
    attended Hangzhou Normal University and graduated with a
    bachelor of art in English. After graduating, he becomes a lecturer
    in English and International Trade at Hangzhou Dianzi University

    1994 - 1995
    Jack Ma started his first company (Hangzhou Haibo Translation Agency). In early
    1995, Jack Ma went to the US and his colleague started to introduce him to the
    internet. Jack Ma launched his website at 9:40 and got a lot of offers from Chinese
    Investors. At that time Jack Ma realized that the Internet is good. Jack Ma started to
    make his second company with He Bi Ying. He registers a Chinapage domain in the
    US and within three years his company value is 800.000 USD or 5 Million CNY. Jack
    Ma continues his business by making Chinese company websites.

    1998 - 2000
    Jack Ma headed to an information technology company. After one year he quit and
    returned to Hangzhou. In 1999, Jack Ma and his team founded Alibaba with starting
    capital of 500.000 Yuan. Until January 2020, Alibaba had a total of 25 million USD
    from foreign capital investment (Goldman Sachs and Softbank).

    In 2003, Jack Ma founded and become executive chairman of Taobao


    Marketplace, Tmall, eTao, Alibaba Cloud Computing, Juhuasuan,
    1688.com, AliExpress.com, and Alipay.
    In 2012, Alibaba transaction volume more than 1 trillion Yuan and Jack Ma
    stepdown from as chief executive officer but remained as executive
    chariman of alibaba group
    In 2013, Alibaba IPO on New York stock exchange.

    In 2016, Ma is the owner of Château de Sours in Bordeaux, Chateau Guerry


    in Côtes de Bourg and Château Perenne in Blaye, Côtes de Bordeaux

    2018 - 2020
    On 9 January 2017, Ma met with United States President-elect Donald Trump at
    Trump Tower, to discuss the potential of 1 million job openings in the following five
    years through Alibaba's business interests in the United States of America. In the
    same month, Ma also partnered with Sir Li Ka-Shing in a joint venture to offer a digital
    wallet service in Hong Kong. Jack Ma announced on 10 September 2018 that he
    would step down as executive chairman of Alibaba Group Holding. Ma officially
    stepped down from the board of Alibaba on 1 October 2020.

    Why I choose Jack Ma?


    Because, his life story is inspiring like the main character movie from zero that have
    nothing and become one of the richest men in the world. He is hardworking, smart, and a
    brave person. His life story tells me that nothing is impossible if you must have
    persistence, patience, and consistency when doing something or pursuing your own goal
    in your life. I also learned that we should overcome our fear when we try to do new
    business and don't surrender when the war even has not started yet.
