    rotated through 360 degrees by hand without detectable binding.

    B Cone Penetration Test (CPT)

    To ensure the stability of the CPT equipment and trafficability, the top ASTM D-5778/
    B1 surface of soil shall be leveled with a maximum acceptable slope of 5 %after Method Statement,
    each phase of RIC/DC Section 9

    The location and depth of cone penetration soundings shall be as specified


    B2 Method Statement,
    in the Method of Statement (Each 4,000 sq.m).
    Section 13

    Cone penetration testing shall include pore pressure measurements (i.e


    B3 piezocone). Where stiff/dense soils are encountered, the piezocone shall be ASTM D-5778
    replaced with a higher capacity electronic cone.

    For all cone penetration calibration, testing and data reporting, ASTM D5778
    B4 ASTM D-5778
    shall be followed.
